About Traversal

Traversal is the AI Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for the enterprise—already trusted by some of the largest companies in the world to troubleshoot, remediate, and even prevent the most complex production incidents. Our mission is to free engineers from endless firefighting and enable them to focus on creative, high-impact work.

Our roots remain deeply embedded in AI research, and we’re channeling that scientific rigor and creativity into building the premier AI agent lab for the enterprise. Hence, what we’re proudest of is assembling the most talented yet nicest group of individuals, including researchers from MIT, Harvard, and Berkeley, to world-class engineers from industry: Citadel Securities, Cockroach Labs, Datadog, DE Shaw, ServiceNow, Glean, Perplexity, Pinecone, and more, to take on one of the hardest problems for AI to solve. Without the entire team, none of this would be possible.

The Role

As a Field Marketing Manager you will help build and execute programs that create and nurture meaningful relationships with enterprise technology leaders and drive pipeline growth.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of marketing, events, sales, and operations. You'll own the execution of executive experiences, industry conferences, regional events, partner activations, and relative integrated field marketing campaigns.

As an early member of a growing marketing team, you'll have the opportunity to help shape how we engage with and build our community through impactful and memorable moments.

Responsibilities

  • Own Traversal’s events and field marketing strategy across corporate events, sponsored trade shows, roadshows, workshops, and regional programs
  • Plan and execute world-class events from concept through completion, including timelines, budgets, vendors, logistics, and on-site execution
  • Develop and run regional field marketing initiatives aligned with pipeline acceleration goals.
  • Partner closely with sales
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales and Marketing to plan initiatives aligned to brand and business goals.
  • Measure, analyze, and report on the performance of each initiative, including pipeline impact and ROI.
  • Continuously test, iterate, and improve programs based on performance data and field feedback.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in B2B field marketing at a high-growth technology company.
  • Proven experience planning and executing executive events, customer programs, and field marketing initiatives.
  • Experience managing industry conferences, trade shows, and sponsorship activations from planning through post-event reporting.
  • Experience executing events for both highly technical audiences (engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, platform teams) and executive decision makers.
  • Experience measuring pipeline influence, campaign attribution, and event ROI.
  • Experience managing external vendors, agencies, and production partners.
  • Outstanding project management and organizational skills, paired with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience partnering closely with Sales and GTM organizations to build integrated field marketing programs that support pipeline generation.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities evolve quickly.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field preferred
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30–50% as programs require.

Nice to Have

  • Industry experience in AI, infrastructure, developer tools, cloud, observability, cybersecurity, or enterprise software.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, or similar CRM and marketing automation platforms.
  • Basic design skills with the ability to create/edit marketing assets using Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar creative software.
  • Experience writing marketing and sales content that support events—including campaign emails, event invitations, landing pages, social media content, sales enablement materials, and other customer-facing communications.

Why You Should Join Us

We’ll make sure you’re fully supported with health insurance, a great tech setup, flexible time off, and plenty of in-office snacks. We offer competitive salary and equity packages, and take thoughtful consideration with every hire on our small, high-impact team.

Working here means owning meaningful parts of the product, having the flexibility to move fast, and learning constantly. This is a place to grow your career, make a real impact, and help define a new category of infrastructure software.
