The Role

As a Regional Director of Sales at Traversal, you will be responsible for building and scaling our Western region GTM operations. You will lead a high-impact team of Enterprise Account Executives, while also playing a hands-on role in navigating complex technical evaluations and guiding high-impact proof-of-concepts.

We are looking for a strategic, high-ownership leader who can translate deep technical value into business outcomes for SREs and engineering leaders while establishing the foundational sales playbook for our agentic observability platform.

Responsibilities

  • Regional Strategy & Leadership: Define and execute the sales strategy for the Western region, overseeing outbound prospecting, qualification, and complex contract negotiations.

  • Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of high-performing Account Executives, fostering a culture of technical storytelling and excellence.

  • Technical Partnership: Collaborate closely with the Sales Engineering team to ensure the successful execution of deep-dive demos and technical proof-of-concepts.

  • Product Feedback Loop: Serve as a key voice of the customer, relaying field insights from the Western market to Product and Engineering to shape the roadmap.

  • Stakeholder Management: Represent Traversal with credibility when engaging with C-suite executives and senior platform engineering leaders.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in enterprise SaaS sales, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role, preferably within technical fields like observability or infrastructure.

  • Experience exceeding regional sales targets in early-stage or high-growth environments where you have built pipelines from the ground up.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-stakeholder sales cycles focusing on technical decision-makers.

  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with engineering buyers and understand SRE workflows.

  • A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and takes a high-ownership approach to scaling regional operations.

  • Observability experience

Traversal (operating at traversal.com) is an AI platform for site reliability engineering that troubleshoots, remediates, and prevents production incidents — even in the largest, most complex systems. Founded in 2023 by Shay Banon, Anish Agarwal, Raaz Dwivedi, Raj Agrawal, and Ahmed Lone, and headquartered in New York, Traversal does X instead of Y by leveraging cutting AI research meets world-class engineering. Under the hood, Traversal's AI SRE agent autonomously detects, troubleshoots, resolves, and prevents production incidents in enterprise environments. This allows some of the largest companies in the world to ship features, not fixes. Backed by Sequoia and Kleiner Perkins.
