Expenses Administrator (Remote)

You will process and check UK staff expense claims, ensuring spend is accurate, compliant, and reimbursed on time. This is a hands-on role where precision and follow-through are critical daily responsibilities. You will operate independently with minimal oversight, supported by a remote team with regular check-ins, clear priorities, and the necessary tools to excel from day one.

Working UK business hours (09:00–17:00 UK, 11:00–19:00 SAST) from home, you will be part of a South African team directly placed with established UK employers. Remote Recruitment provides ongoing support from placement onwards.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify expense claims against receipts and company policy
• Code expenses accurately in the accounting system
• Follow up on missing receipts and clarify queries with claimants
• Prepare reimbursement batches for approval
• Report monthly spend trends to the finance team

What You'll Need

• Experience processing expenses in Expensify, Xero, or similar systems
• Proficient Excel skills
• Attention to detail for receipts and expense coding
• Clear, polite written communication
• Ability to meet payroll and month-end deadlines

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Dext or Fyle
• Experience with VAT on expenses
• Corporate card reconciliation
