What we're looking for (role overview):
InStride is seeking an experienced Events Marketing Manager to lead events as a strategic B2B marketing and growth channel. This role will own the strategy and execution of InStride’s event portfolio while partnering closely with Marketing and Sales to ensure events support our go-to-market priorities, engage target accounts and audiences, and contribute to pipeline growth.
The ideal candidate combines exceptional event execution with a broader B2B marketing mindset. You understand that a successful event extends far beyond the event itself and know how to connect events to integrated campaigns, account-based strategies, content, digital channels, and Sales activation to maximize their impact.
You are creative, proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented, with the ability to move seamlessly between strategy and execution. You will continually evaluate where and how InStride invests in events, create memorable experiences for our audiences, and use performance insights to improve impact and ROI.
Skills we’d love to see you show off:
- Strategic event marketing: Ability to translate business and go-to-market priorities into an event strategy that engages priority audiences and accounts, supports broader campaigns, and contributes to pipeline growth.
- Integrated campaign thinking: Ability to think beyond the event itself and partner across Marketing to activate content, email, digital, ABM, social, and other channels before, during, and after events to maximize reach, engagement, and conversion.
- Sales and account alignment: Strong understanding of B2B sales motions and ability to partner with Sales and BDR teams to identify priority accounts, generate meaningful meetings and engagement, and turn event activity into measurable commercial outcomes.
- Event management expertise: Strong hands-on experience across event conceptualization, sponsorships, logistics, staffing, budgeting, attendee experience, lead tracking, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up.
- Measurement and optimization: Analytical mindset with experience defining event KPIs, measuring account engagement and pipeline impact, evaluating ROI, and translating performance insights into recommendations for future investment.
- Cross-functional leadership: Ability to bring together Marketing, Sales, BDRs, Design, Product, RevOps, executives, and external partners around a shared event strategy and execution plan.
- Project management: Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a self-starter mindset and the ability to independently manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
Who you are (ideal profile):
- 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, with significant experience owning events, integrated campaigns, field marketing, demand generation, or ABM programs.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex in-person events, sponsorships, executive experiences, and/or virtual events end-to-end.
- Experience using CRM, marketing automation, and/or ABM platforms to support audience targeting, event activation, attribution, and measurement.
- Experience with account-based marketing and target-account activation strategies strongly preferred.
- Creative, analytical, resourceful, and curious, with a drive for continuous improvement and a willingness to challenge how things have traditionally been done.
How you will create impact (key responsibilities):
- Own InStride’s integrated event strategy across sponsored events, hosted experiences, in-person programs, virtual events, and webinars, ensuring investments align with go-to-market priorities, target industries, priority audiences, and business objectives.
- Build the business strategy for priority events, defining the objective, target accounts and personas, desired audience actions, Sales activation plan, supporting marketing channels, and success metrics before execution begins.
- Plan and execute customer, prospect, executive, and third-party events that create memorable experiences while advancing InStride’s broader marketing and commercial objectives.
- Own end-to-end event execution, including but not limited to sponsorships, vendor selection and contracts, registration, messaging, booth and experience design, marketing materials, staffing, budgets, timelines, and on-site execution.
- Develop Sales activation strategies for priority events, partnering with Sales and BDR teams on target-account outreach, meeting generation, event messaging, attendee engagement, and timely follow-up.
- Use performance insights to inform future event investments, identifying which events, audiences, formats, and activation strategies generate the greatest business impact and recommending where InStride should increase, change, or reduce investment.
- Maintain InStride’s strategic events calendar and portfolio view, ensuring event investments complement broader marketing campaigns and go-to-market priorities throughout the year.
- Travel may be required
