Join Vetcove and help modernize the future of veterinary software and the pet parent healthcare experience. Our suite of platforms features a market-leading procurement marketplace, an ultra-modern home delivery ecommerce experience, and a next-generation practice management system. More than 25,000 hospitals across all 50 states rely on Vetcove daily, supporting tens of thousands of veterinarians who care for tens of millions of pets each year.

We are modernizing the 50 billion dollar plus animal health industry by giving veterinary organizations the tools to focus more on patient care. Backed by Y Combinator and top venture investors in Silicon Valley, New York and Miami, Vetcove is a fast-growing, mission-driven company. We are searching for talented and passionate people who want to help shape the future of veterinary care.

We’re looking for someone exceptional to own Vetcove’s most important in-person experiences, from multi-day leadership summits with our top customers and industry leaders to our annual company retreat and team offsites. You’ll take events from a broad idea to an exceptional experience, owning everything from the venue and programming to the budget, logistics, hospitality, and hundreds of details in between. This is a highly autonomous role for someone with exceptional taste, operational rigor, and hospitality instincts. We’ll give you the objective, not the playbook, and trust you to figure out how to create an experience people will remember.

What you'll do

  • Own Vetcove’s major events end to end, from the first idea and event strategy through planning, execution, and the final guest departure.
  • Lead our flagship customer and executive gatherings, annual company retreat, and team offsites, creating thoughtful, high-touch experiences for groups ranging from intimate executive gatherings to 200+ person events.
  • Turn broad objectives into exceptionally detailed event plans spanning venues, programming, hospitality, travel, production, staffing, budgets, logistics, and the overall attendee experience.
  • Find exceptional hotels, venues, restaurants, speakers, and partners, build strong relationships with them, and negotiate aggressively and creatively to get the best possible experience and value.
  • Serve as the clear owner across internal teams and external partners, driving decisions, timelines, budgets, and execution without requiring significant oversight.
  • Anticipate what could go wrong before it does, from major logistical challenges to tiny details an attendee might notice, and solve the inevitable surprises quickly and calmly.

What we’re looking for

  • 7+ years of experience owning complex, high-touch events from start to finish, whether corporate events, executive gatherings, customer conferences, retreats, weddings, or similarly ambitious live experiences.
  • You obsess over every detail. You notice the things others miss, think through the experience from every attendee’s perspective, and believe the smallest touches can be the difference between a good event and an exceptional one.
  • You’ve independently led complex, multi-day events and are comfortable keeping hundreds of decisions, dependencies, vendors, and logistics moving at once.
  • You genuinely love sourcing and negotiating. You enjoy finding the perfect hotel, venue, restaurant, or partner just as much as negotiating the contract, pushing for better terms, and figuring out how to make the budget go further.
  • You have exceptional hospitality instincts and a strong sense of taste. You know how to make people feel genuinely welcomed and cared for, and you understand that something memorable doesn’t have to mean something extravagant.
  • You’re remarkably resourceful and calm under pressure. When plans change or something goes wrong five minutes before guests arrive, your instinct is to take ownership, make a decision, and solve it.

Vetcove is a highly disruptive, Y Combinator-backed B2B eCommerce and inventory management platform fundamentally revolutionizing how veterinary hospitals purchase their medical supplies. Founded in 2015 by brothers Alex and Mitchell Kates—who grew up working in their father's equine practice—and headquartered in Miami, Florida, the company operates as the ultimate unified procurement engine for the veterinary industry. Under the hood, Vetcove seamlessly aggregates the catalogs of every major veterinary supplier and manufacturer into a single, centralized dashboard. Their primary target audience spans over 23,000 veterinary clinics, massive animal hospitals, zoos, and non-profits who desperately need to bypass the massive friction of juggling dozens of vendor websites, phone calls, and backorder lists. What sets Vetcove apart in the fiercely competitive HealthTech landscape is its uncompromising commitment to the community; offering its core price-comparison and checkout software completely free to clinics, empowering them to slash ordering time in half, secure the absolute best pricing, and take back control of their practice's profitability.
