Director of Fulfillment Network Optimization

As Director of Fulfillment Network Optimization, you will oversee strategies and day-to-day operations for the fulfillment engine, reporting to the VP of Delivery & Fulfillment.

You will bridge delivery operations, data intelligence, and strategic partnership management, translating complex operational realities into innovative solutions that ensure consistent, excellent experiences for customers, caterers, and delivery partners.

Our catering partners handle most deliveries, while our third-party delivery network, Dispatch, unlocks additional capacity, expanding food options and ensuring market-leading reliability.

What You'll Do:

Fulfillment Solutions

• Manage end-to-end relationships with dispatch and self-delivery service providers, overseeing the full lifecycle from onboarding to sunset.
• Drive growth-oriented performance through structured accountability frameworks and incentives to deliver best-in-class customer experiences.
• Balance and diversify capacity against demand, identifying coverage gaps and cultivating network effects for scale, growth, and financial leverage.
• Negotiate and secure commercially attractive agreements with regional and national delivery organizations.
• Ensure data quality and uptime across delivery integrations, routing feedback to stakeholders for continuous improvement.
• Develop and lead customer-facing delivery programs for premium use cases, including Meal Program, Concierge, Corporate Accounts, and Channel Partners.
• Build scalable, reliable solutions for high-touch and enterprise customers to meet elevated expectations.

Fulfillment Intelligence & Optimization

• Evaluate fulfillment data and translate findings into actionable insights for frontline and leadership teams.
• Leverage network-wide performance visibility to develop and test hypotheses, producing measurable improvements.
• Assess data quality gaps and guide integration of new data sources to deepen network visibility.
• Champion partner-specific opportunities to strengthen intelligence infrastructure, including driver feedback loops, photo AI, package counts, and equipment availability signals.

Strategy & Cross-Functional Leadership

• Set overall delivery strategy, understanding industry trends and translating them into forward-looking plans.
• Continuously evolve approaches to meet customer needs, protecting ezCater’s market positioning.
• Establish clear success criteria for partners to ensure transparency and alignment.
• Drive rigorous analysis and project management to optimize delivery experience and unit economics.
• Measure the impact of strategies and use outcomes for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Customer & Restaurant Operations, Product & Engineering, Customer Service, and Growth teams.
• Inspire your team to thrive under pressure, fostering a culture of excellence.

What You Have:

• 7-10 years of relevant delivery, logistics, or fulfillment operations experience, with expertise in managing complex partner networks.
• Strong relationship management and negotiation skills, building trust with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven data analytics skills, translating data into strategic action with hypothesis-driven decision-making.
• Experience mapping and innovating operational processes, with a bias toward automation and efficiency.
• Track record of leveraging cross-functional stakeholders for high-impact projects.
• Technology orientation, comfortable working with Product & Engineering teams.
• Executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 5 days per quarter for team gatherings.
