Conveyancing Assistant

You will support UK conveyancers through the file: ordering searches, preparing packs, chasing third parties and keeping clients updated so transactions do not stall in silence. It suits someone organised who enjoys steady progress.

You will work 09:00-17:00 UK time (11:00-19:00 SAST) from home, with equipment guidance, a proper induction and a manager who is contactable through the day. This is a permanent role, not a short contract.

Key responsibilities

• Open files, run client checks and prepare initial packs
• Order property searches and chase results
• Prepare draft contracts, forms and completion statements
• Liaise with estate agents, lenders and the other side
• Keep the case management system accurate and up to date
• Update clients on progress at agreed milestones

What you'll need

• Experience supporting conveyancing, property law or legal case administration
• Familiarity with a legal case management system
• Strong accuracy with dates, forms and file documentation
• Clear, reassuring written and phone communication with clients
• Reliable home internet and a quiet space for UK-hours work

Nice to have

• Exposure to Land Registry applications
• Experience with leasehold transactions
• Familiarity with anti-money-laundering checks

A permanent, fully remote role supporting a defined caseload, with a conveyancer who explains the work and a clear progression path into paralegal or file-handling roles.
