Who we are: Redis is the company behind the technology that powers fast applications globally. If you’ve checked the weather, used a credit card, or tracked a flight online, you’ve used Redis. We’re building a faster world with simpler experiences.

Why would you love this job? You’ll join a tight global commercial and product legal team supporting Redis’ go-to-market strategy. As the fifth member, you’ll own your workstreams from day one with mentorship from experienced in-house lawyers. The team handles enterprise SaaS, software licensing, and international commercial agreements for over 75% of the Fortune 50.

This role is ideal for someone with curiosity and drive—curiosity to understand the business behind every deal, and drive to own outcomes, not just tasks. The pace is fast, deals are real, and you’ll be involved in high-impact negotiations.

Redis is actively building an AI-augmented legal function, and you’ll shape its design, from playbooks to contract workflow automation. You’ll report directly to the Deputy General Counsel, Commercial & International, and collaborate globally.

What You’ll Do:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including SaaS subscriptions, software licenses, NDAs, DPAs, and vendor/supplier contracts.
  • Support senior counsel on complex deal structuring and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, Finance, Deal Desk, Product, and Security to align contracts with business goals and risk frameworks.
  • Support new product launches by drafting and reviewing customer-facing terms and go-to-market agreements.
  • Advise on privacy matters and support compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR, CCPA, and others).
  • Improve contract templates, playbooks, and processes, including through AI-powered tools.
  • Provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate in the broader book of business within the Legal Team.

What You’ll Need:

  • A JD from an ABA-accredited law school and active admission to a US state bar in good standing.
  • 2–4 years of experience in commercial, SaaS, or technology transactions (law firm or in-house).
  • Familiarity with data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) and software licensing models.
  • Curiosity to dig into the “why” behind business and legal problems, not just the “what.”
  • A bias toward ownership: follow through, close loops, and take initiative.
  • Clear, concise communication skills and strong organizational instincts.
  • Genuine interest in adopting AI-based legal tools and working at the frontier of legal operations.

Extra Great If You Have:

  • Prior in-house experience at a high-growth technology company.
  • An undergraduate degree in business, computer science, or a technology-related field.
  • Experience with multi-state commercial contracts or vendor negotiations.
  • Proficiency in a second language (French, German, Italian, Spanish, or Portuguese).
