Core Responsibilities
Collections Specialists are responsible for resolving overdue bills and collecting payments from individuals or businesses responsible for the debt. Key tasks include:
- Increase the collection of outstanding payments within the personal finance department as an individual contributor in the collections process.
- Identify accounts with overdue payments and find solutions to help bring their loan to a current status.
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly collection and metric goals.
- Conduct outbound/inbound calls with clients to resolve debts owed.
- Ensure all activities comply with GoodLeap’s collections policies and procedures.
Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Candidates must possess:
- 1–2 years of direct experience in credit and collections, with knowledge in sales, negotiation, and persuasion tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred: Prior telemarketing experience with financial products.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Self-motivated and extremely goal-oriented.
- Strong team player with a professional demeanor.
