The healthcare industry overspends on its supply chain by over $25 billion each year, due to fragmented data, inefficient workflows, and wasted supplies. Clarium is addressing this issue with its AI-powered platform, Astra OS, which provides hospitals with end-to-end visibility into their supply chain operations. The platform automates workflows and delivers actionable insights, enabling supply chain teams to focus on patient care. Clarium is trusted by leading health systems, including Yale New Haven Health, Stanford, Geisinger, and Kaiser Permanente.
Founded in 2020, Clarium has secured $43 million in total funding, with its Series A led by Northzone and participation from General Catalyst, AlleyCorp, Kaiser Permanente Ventures, Texas Medical Center Ventures, and 1984 Ventures.
The Opportunity
Clarium is seeking a commercially minded, executive-caliber Client Executive to oversee the long-term partnership and commercial outcomes for a portfolio of live health system customers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring health systems realize the savings they contracted for, gaining executive buy-in, and securing renewals.
- Answering critical questions such as: Are the savings being realized? Does the executive team believe in the value? Is the story public? Will they renew? What should be done next?
You will be the sole person accountable for the commercial outcomes of each account, including gross retention, renewal signatures, and expansion within the system. You will lead strategic planning with account owners across Implementation, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering, directing the work rather than executing it. Additionally, you will engage Clarium leadership to ensure alignment with customer needs.
By day 90, you will:
- Take over your portfolio of accounts.
- Establish a validated value baseline for each account against the contracted terms.
- Deliver your first executive business reviews.
- Map every account's stakeholder landscape, including new stakeholders since the deal closed.
- Identify at least one qualified expansion opportunity per account.
- Own the renewal forecast.
By 12 months, you will:
- Deliver gross retention on your book of business.
- Close expansion deals in multiple health systems.
- Establish the value reporting model used across Clarium’s customer base.
- Convert at least one customer into a public reference.
In This Role You Will
Own the commercial relationship and account plan for a portfolio of live health systems with $5–7 million in revenue potential. Build and maintain relationships across operational, managerial, and executive stakeholders, ensuring continuity through changes in personnel, processes, and technology.
Conduct quarterly and annual executive business reviews with supply chain, finance, and clinical leadership, focusing on performance against baseline, peer benchmarking, and the agenda for the next quarter.
Carry gross and net retention targets across your portfolio, own the renewal and upsell narrative, terms, and closing, and maintain an accurate renewal forecast.
Define, implement, and report on the financial and operational outcomes each health system contracted for, and build a compelling savings case for executives and sponsors. This includes owning the metrics that determine Clarium’s revenue tied to validated savings.
Direct each account through the CSM, Implementation, and Product/FDE leads, setting strategy, sequencing work, escalating issues, and ensuring those leads have the resources needed to achieve their goals.
Source, build, and close expansion opportunities within existing accounts, including new modules, service lines, and entities within a customer's ecosystem. Cultivate customer advocates for case studies and references.
Provide Clarium leadership with early, specific insights on at-risk accounts and reasons why. Translate adoption patterns, friction, and pricing feedback into structured input for Product, Sales, and Leadership.
What You'll Bring
10+ years of experience in a commercial role within healthcare SaaS or health technology, such as client executive, strategic account management, or account management, serving hospitals, health systems, or integrated delivery networks (IDNs).
Past personal responsibility for a renewal, expansion, or growth quota, with specific results you can articulate.
A track record of running business reviews and commercial conversations with C-suite and VP-level health system leaders.
The ability to build and defend a quantified financial case in front of an audience whose job is to challenge it.
Comfort operating through others and being accountable for outcomes you do not directly execute.
Nice to Have
Experience in health system supply chain domains such as sourcing, contracting, value analysis, clinical resource management, or supply chain leadership, either as an operator or vendor-side at a supply chain technology company. Direct or vendor-side perioperative experience is also valuable.
Experience with outcomes-based, at-risk, or shared-savings commercial structures.
Healthcare consulting or transformation experience with provider clients.
Experience at a scaling company where you helped develop the playbook from scratch.
Skills & Tools You'll Use
Nice to Know: Familiarity with health system ERP and supply chain systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle, Infor, GHX) and EHR environments (Epic), and how they influence operational possibilities.
