You will own the monthly books for a UK business, keeping the books accurate and up to date. This is a full-time, 100% remote role for South African talent, working UK hours: 09:00-17:00 UK time (11:00-19:00 SAST).
Key Responsibilities
- Record sales and purchase invoices
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Manage supplier payments and customer receipts
- Prepare month-end figures for review
- Keep records organised and audit-ready
Requirements
- Experience as a bookkeeper or accounts clerk
- Hands-on experience with Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
- Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
- Able to work 09:00-17:00 UK time (11:00-19:00 SAST)
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with UK VAT
- Experience with Dext or Hubdoc
- A bookkeeping certificate
