Join Intellectsoft, a software development company delivering innovative solutions since 2007, specializing in industries like Fintech, Healthcare, EdTech, Construction, and Hospitality. We partner with clients such as Jaguar Motors, Universal Pictures, and Harley-Davidson to drive innovation and scalability.
The Role
We are seeking a capable developer to support daily operations while our primary team executes a database modernization from SQL Server to AWS Aurora. You will need to seamlessly transition between backend maintenance in Java and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Pulumi (TypeScript).
Key Responsibilities
- Backfill day-to-day operations by troubleshooting and resolving bugs in the Java backend application.
- Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for AWS using Pulumi (TypeScript), applying solid Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Support the database modernization team with tasks such as creating and running load-testing scripts for the new AWS Aurora database.
- Troubleshoot Kubernetes environments and handle reactive platform tickets to free up the internal core team.
Requirements
- Strong Software Engineering Foundation: Proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming (OOP) patterns is essential. We prioritize an engineer-first approach; strong programming skills are valued over experience with declarative tools alone.
- Cloud & DevOps Expertise: Solid hands-on experience within the AWS ecosystem and working with Kubernetes.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proven experience with Pulumi (TypeScript). Deep experience with Terraform and a strong software engineering background to quickly adapt to Pulumi/TypeScript is also encouraged.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Driven by curiosity and a self-serving attitude. We seek a natural problem solver who proactively digs into root causes rather than waiting for instructions.
Benefits
- Access to Udemy courses of your choice
- Team-building events, marathons, and charity activities to connect and recharge
- Workshops, trainings, and expert knowledge-sharing to keep you growing
- Clear career path
- Absence days for work-life balance
- Flexible hours and work setup – work from any of the listed locations and organize your day your way
