The Associate Marketing Coordinator will provide administrative and tactical support to the marketing team. This team member will assist with event logistics and vendor co-marketing activities under direct supervision to help support regional sales & marketing objectives. The candidate must be willing to learn while supporting a dynamic, fast-paced organization.
Roles and Responsibilities
Assist with organizing and executing assigned regional events.
Manage multiple priorities during event planning and execution.
Ensure deadlines are met for all event related activities, logistics, purchases, promotions, and deliverables.
Assist with managing event supplies and shipping coordination of supplies for all events.
Collaborate with the team to promote events using Marketo and helping drive registration.
Regular communication with marketing team & regional Sales Team – updates on event status and logistics, meeting deadlines, budget requirements, etc.
Collaborate with marketing specialists for pre-event, at-event, and post-event strategy to increase engagement.
Support the maintenance of registration lists, event calendars and provide necessary updates to the regional team.
Provide administrative support to marketing team as needed.
Provide onsite support for events when needed.
- E-mail registrants prior to the events to confirm their attendance.
Other related duties as needed.
Required Experience
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
1-2 years’ experience working in event marketing in a corporate environment.
Marketo, Eventbrite, or related marketing platform experience preferred but not required.
Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software preferred but not required.
Computer skills including a solid understanding of Microsoft Office products, Gmail and Google Cloud.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated, self-starter with a track record for leading events and the campaigns associated with them.
Resourcefulness with a strong ability to problem solve.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent people and relationship-building skills to interact with colleagues, regional teams, and vendor partners.
Extremely detail oriented and results driven.
Demonstrated willingness to learn and use AI-enabled tools.
Travel Requirements
Travel up to 25% for local events within the North Central Region (some events may be hosted in the evening or require weekend travel).
This role is based in Chicagoland, with travel primarily throughout Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, the Dakotas, and Iowa, with additional travel to other North Central states as needed.
- Must be willing to come into the Hinsdale office as needed, typically 1–2 days per week.
Physical Requirements
Sedentary work.
Substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
Required to have close visual acuity to view computer terminal and/or extensive reading for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
