AI Automation Specialist

Who The Client Is: Our client is a growing Australian accounting and business advisory firm based on the Gold Coast, with over 20 years of client relationships. They provide accounting, tax, bookkeeping, payroll, and advisory services, helping businesses simplify their finances and support long-term growth. The firm has an established team across Australia, the Philippines, and India, and is investing in AI and technology to streamline processes.

The Role: We’re looking for an AI Automation Builder to help streamline day-to-day processes through practical AI agents and automations. You’ll work directly with management and the accounting team to identify repetitive tasks, build solutions, and ensure they run reliably.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and implement AI agents and automations for accounting and administrative processes
• Develop billing automation agents that pull reports from XPM, analyze the data, and prepare draft client bills for review
• Create email automation workflows that read incoming client emails and draft accurate responses for team review and sending
• Automate repetitive day-to-day administrative processes based on team pain points and priorities
• Connect AI tools and business systems through APIs and integrations
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and refine automations to maintain accuracy and reliability
• Document workflows clearly for easy team use and maintenance
• Collaborate closely with management and accountants to understand needs and identify new automation opportunities

Requirements:

• Proven experience building and implementing AI agents and automations in a live business environment, including automations for XPM reports, email responses, and administrative processes
• Hands-on experience with LLM tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Microsoft Copilot
• Experience with automation platforms like Make, Zapier, n8n, or Power Automate
• Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, and structured data
• Strong research and problem-solving skills to identify processes for automation
• Excellent written English and ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical users
• High attention to detail when working with financial and client data

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Xero Practice Manager (XPM), Xero, or other accounting practice software
• Experience supporting an Australian accounting or professional services firm
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Outlook automation
