This position requires a public-sector infrastructure or enterprise VoIP engineering veteran with 5+ years of craft depth who maps out cross-platform system rollouts fluidly natively using Project Management principles, diagnoses production-level telephony limitations cleanly natively leveraging Technical Support parameters alongside municipal network administrators, and commands live multi-tenant communication links confidently under strict public safety regulatory metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Launch Lifecycle Governance: Oversee the complete deployment timeline from post-sales technical onboarding to formal platform go-live, ensuring all logistical and network responsibilities are fulfilled on-site, on-time, and to an uncompromised quality standard.
  • High-Frequency Nationwide Travel: Travel frequently (up to 75% of the time) to municipal, county, and state public safety centers across the United States to lead active equipment deployments and resolve real-time technical field friction points.
  • Telephony and Infrastructure Integration: Partner in lockstep beside localized municipal IT divisions, data center system administrators, and third-party telephony providers to integrate RapidSOS assets into varied, high-security legacy environments natively leveraging Technical Support parameters.
  • VoIP Architectural Liaison: Function as the primary technical subject matter expert on VoIP infrastructural requirements, guiding external technical partners through complex SIP configurations, PBX layouts, and Session Border Controller (SBC) routing boundaries.
  • Cross-Functional Issue Escalation: Interlock asynchronously and synchronously with centralized Product, Core Engineering, Account Management, and Customer Success cells to escalate on-site layout dependencies and optimize technical playbooks.
  • Risk and Scope Mitigation: Proactively isolate technical implementation limits, scope-creep risks, or architectural roadblocks, implementing independent problem-solving methodologies to maintain product delivery parameters.
  • Continuous Improvement Documentation: Extract operational data and customer behavioral insights from real-world field installations to update, author, and scale internal standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical knowledge bases.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of verified professional history running advanced technical field implementations, telecommunications systems engineering, enterprise network deployment management, or high-risk technology infrastructure consulting.
  • Exhaustive Telephony Domain Command: Deep, demonstrable hands-on working knowledge of enterprise-tier VoIP infrastructure, highlighting extensive history configuring SIP routing protocols, PBX architectures, and Session Border Controllers (SBCs).
  • Expert-tier capability managing multi-phase technical milestones, mapping deployment resources, and mitigating project dependencies natively utilizing Project Management methodologies.
