Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, systems-minded Strategic Intelligence Manager to join our core centralized Security division collective in a full-time remote capacity across the United States. Operating as the exclusive individual-contributor subject-matter expert and designated Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for our Strategic Intelligence program, you will step up to claim true individual operational and strategic accountability for shaping the defensive assets protecting Coinbase’s people, assets, global operations, and market reputation. Shifting completely away from routine data entry routines, minor local script running, passive clipboard documentation, or disconnected clerical checklist tracking, you will operate as a principal corporate risk architect—partnering face-to-face with Corporate Development, executive leadership, and technical security cells. This position requires an enterprise tech or security industry veteran with 6+ years of intelligence background who handles complex due diligence investigations fluidly natively using Research analytics parameters, tracks multi-department protective programs smoothly natively using Project Management communication loops, and commands AI-enabled threat hunting pipelines confidently under tight deal deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Intelligence Governance: Own, drive, and master the overarching strategic direction, policy framework, and execution standards of Coinbase’s global Strategic Intelligence program, serving as the definitive subject-matter expert across reputational due diligence and geopolitical intelligence.
• Full-Lifecycle M&A Due Diligence Ownership: Lead and deliver comprehensive Reputational Due Diligence reports for high-value mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate investments, and strategic joint ventures, producing sophisticated risk findings that directly inform executive procurement and Corporate Development actions cleanly natively utilizing Research parameters.
• Geopolitical Crisis Sourcing and Threat Analysis: Produce forward-looking, high-signal geopolitical intelligence evaluations, mapping out how real-world international crises, shifting regulatory limits, and security incidents affect Coinbase facilities, distributed staff, data infrastructure, and overarching product strategy.
• Cross-Functional Security Intelligence Routing: Coordinate and distribute time-sensitive tactical assessments smoothly natively using Project Management paradigms to update senior leaders, the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), Executive Protection pods, and Business Continuity units.
• Intelligence Stream Development: Source, audit, and integrate proprietary open-source (OSINT) and closed-source cyber/physical intelligence feeds, building trusted relationships with public and private-sector threat networks to proactively protect the crypto community.
• AI-Forward Operational Scaling: Architect and deploy scalable, AI-enabled data parsing processes and automated intelligence ingest engines to compound program processing speeds and lower costs, while systematically maintaining human-in-the-loop validation guardrails.
• Peer Mentorship and Craft Elevation: Provide high-signal feedback, professional critique, and strategic guidance to analysts, specialists, and external contractors—including senior team members—to sharpen institutional judgment across deeply ambiguous risk vectors.
• Ecosystem Metric Reporting: Define, track, and present comprehensive program performance metrics and strategic impact tracking boards directly before C-suite leaders to demonstrate security readiness.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 years of verified professional history running advanced corporate security intelligence, international geopolitical risk analysis, full-cycle investigative due diligence, corporate asset protection, or sovereign threat consulting.
• Mandatory Report Production Track Record: Proven, hands-on history personally authoring complex background investigations or macroeconomic geopolitical risk reports that have directly steered major corporate M&A deals, large-scale investments, or enterprise business scaling.
• Expert-tier capability parsing unstructured data, evaluating cross-border compliance parameters, and writing evidence-backed due diligence profiles natively utilizing Research tools.
• Practical operational familiarity organizing cross-functional task matrices, managing vendor timelines, and establishing reporting milestones natively using Project Management guidelines.
• Deep, authoritative technical understanding of open and closed-source collection methodologies, showing direct familiarity handling geopolitical risk indicators and modern automated threat vectors.
• Outstanding written and verbal presentation traits in business-fluent English, enabling absolute confidence and persuasive consultative influence when presenting complex technical risk data before executive steering committees.
