Responsibilities:
Own the architecture of the Platform Authorization Service (PAS), the system that controls access across the platform.
Set the technical direction for identity, single sign-on (SSO), access control, and secrets management services.
Lead delivery of Foundations core services, including login, authorization, and tenancy.
Act as the primary technical decision-maker for Foundations.
Lead and mentor the Foundations engineering team through daily technical work.
Partner with the Foundations Engineering Manager and Product Manager on team execution.
Drive core components through to GA (general availability) launch.
Define API contracts for platform services that other teams, including Delivery Platform and Application teams, consume.
Work with the Foundations Product Manager to align technical plans with product priorities.
Set engineering standards for code review, testing, and documentation across the team.
Requirements:
7+ years of software development experience, including technical ownership of a platform or infrastructure area.
3+ years of experience in a B2B software startup or high-growth organization.
Direct experience with authentication and authorization systems (e.g., OAuth, SSO, or role-based access control).
Experience leading engineering work without formal manager authority.
Backend programming experience in Python and Go.
Experience designing APIs consumed by other engineering teams.
Strong Linux and distributed systems fundamentals.
A track record of making technical decisions under ambiguity.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.

NetBox Labs
View Company ProfileNetBox Labs is the premier, enterprise-grade network automation pioneer, open-source infrastructure steward, and commercial architect of NetBox—the world's most popular Network Information Source (NIS) and Network Configuration Management Database (NCMD)—engineered to operate as the definitive, single-source-of-truth layer for global network operations, telecom providers, and enterprise cloud networks. The company completely eliminates the severe systemic friction of modern infrastructure scaling—where operations teams face fragile pipeline breaks, manual spreadsheet errors, unmapped ipam/vlan inventories, and disconnected network orchestration loops—by deploying its high-availability platform, NetBox Cloud. Moving far beyond traditional, passive spreadsheet logs or rigid legacy DCIM tools, NetBox Labs natively unifies comprehensive IP Address Management (IPAM), detailed data center infrastructure management (DCIM), automated circuit tracking, and complex device-to-cable topology relationship mapping into a single cohesive network workspace. Trusted by thousands of leading enterprise network engineering cells—including major global technology leaders and global ISPs—the company commands dominant market share in the network automation space by allowing organizations to build, deploy, and monitor complex cross-platform network architectures with production-hardened precision. Under the hood, its sophisticated technical core natively orchestrates advanced API-first workflows, real-time integration with modern CI/CD orchestration layers, and robust enterprise-grade plugins backed by growth funding from elite venture institutions like Flybridge Capital Partners and GGV Capital. What sets NetBox Labs apart is its uncompromising dedication to replacing manual infrastructure troubleshooting with high-velocity network automation; by bridging the gap between open-source community innovation and production-grade enterprise stability, the firm remains the absolute, category-defining backbone of modern network infrastructure operations worldwide.
