NetBox Labs is hiring a People Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations for a globally distributed team of 135+ people across the US, UK, Canada, Australia, France, and Spain. This role ensures seamless handling of hires, changes, and exits, including contracts, payroll, benefits enrollment, system records, and compliance obligations under each country’s rules.

The majority of the team is based in the US, but international operations are a significant part of the role, requiring attention to varied filing requirements and employment rules.

You will also build foundational systems, including a single system of record, clean people data for Finance and leadership planning, and automation to replace manual processes. You will work closely with the Head of People, Finance, and Legal, with decision-making authority rather than routing tasks.

Who this is for

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in the craft of operations, is fast and precise in HR systems, and trusts the records they leave behind. You notice inconsistencies between systems and seek solutions rather than flags. You thrive on problem-solving and transforming messy projects into structured plans.

You already leverage AI in your work and prefer teaching tools to handle repetitive tasks over building spreadsheets. Much of this work is detailed and impactful when it goes unnoticed—this role focuses on building a solid operational foundation with flexibility in execution.

What you will own

Employee lifecycle operations

  • Own new hire setup end-to-end in Justworks, including onboarding records, payroll and tax setup, benefits enrollment, and systems access.
  • Oversee exits end-to-end, including termination processing, final pay, benefits continuation, equity coordination with Finance, and access removal.
  • Process every employee change, including compensation, title, level, manager, location, and employment status, with clean documentation.
  • Manage employment documentation, contracts, amendments, and letters across US and international entities.
  • Serve as first-line support for employee questions on pay, benefits, leave, time off, and policy.
  • Maintain and improve the people operations knowledge base and process documentation.

International employment and compliance

  • Own the people compliance calendar across all countries, including filings, registrations, statutory deadlines, and annual returns.
  • Manage the operational relationship with EOR partners, including hires, changes, exits, invoicing, and issue resolution.
  • Track country-specific employment requirements, including statutory leave, notice, probation, and termination rules, escalating to Legal as needed.
  • Support new country openings end-to-end from the operational side, collaborating with EOR and legal partners.
  • Serve as the operational point of contact for EMEA and APAC employees.
  • Ensure employee records are accurate, complete, and audit-ready across all entities.

Payroll and benefits administration

  • Run payroll across all entities and platforms, including calendar management, review, reconciliation, and accuracy.
  • Administer US and international benefits day-to-day, including enrollments, changes, terminations, invoicing, and vendor coordination.
  • Execute open enrollment, from setup and communications through employee support and audit.
  • Administer leaves of absence in coordination with PEO, EOR, and Legal.

Systems and data

  • Ensure data integrity in the HR system of record, including audits, permissions, workflows, and integrations.
  • Execute consolidation onto a single global system of record, partnering with the Head of People on sequencing.
  • Build and maintain recurring people reporting, including headcount, attrition, and organizational data for Finance and leadership.
  • Maintain level, band, and job architecture data behind the leveling and compensation framework.
  • Automate manual work using available tools, including AI, to redesign processes.
  • Use AI in operational work, such as drafting documentation, summarizing country policy differences, auditing records, and first-pass reporting.
  • Share learnings with the People team as prompts, templates, and walkthroughs to improve efficiency.

What you bring

  • 3+ years in people operations, ideally in a high-growth software company under 500 people.
  • Direct, hands-on experience running people operations for a multi-country workforce, with UK and US experience required. Canada, EU, or APAC experience is a strong plus.
  • Hands-on payroll and benefits administration experience, including experience with a PEO or HRIS platform. Justworks experience is a plus.
  • Fluency with spreadsheets and HR data.
  • Working fluency with AI tools in day-to-day operational work, with specific examples of automation or efficiency improvements.
  • Strong follow-through—tasks you own do not fall through, and you close the loop without being prompted.
  • Excellent judgment with confidential information.
  • Clear, direct written communication.

Nice to have

  • Total rewards exposure, such as compensation cycle admin or benefits renewal support.
  • Experience with an HRIS migration or consolidation.
  • Familiarity with Deel, Culture Amp, Carta, or Ashby.
  • Working knowledge of international employment mechanics, including EOR models, statutory entitlements, and country-level filing obligations.

Our stack

  • Justworks (US PEO)
  • Justworks International and Deel (international employment)
  • Culture Amp (performance management)
  • Carta (equity)
  • Ashby (recruiting)
  • Notion and Slack (everything else)

Moving far beyond traditional, passive spreadsheet logs or rigid legacy DCIM tools, NetBox Labs natively unifies comprehensive IP Address Management (IPAM), detailed data center infrastructure management (DCIM), automated circuit tracking, and complex device-to-cable topology relationship mapping into a single cohesive network workspace. Trusted by thousands of leading enterprise network engineering cells—including major global technology leaders and global ISPs—the company commands dominant market share in the network automation space by allowing organizations to build, deploy, and monitor complex cross-platform network architectures with production-hardened precision. Under the hood, its sophisticated technical core natively orchestrates advanced API-first workflows, real-time integration with modern CI/CD orchestration layers, and robust enterprise-grade plugins backed by growth funding from elite venture institutions like Flybridge Capital Partners and GGV Capital.
