About the Role & Team: The Risk and Trading Team oversees all Sports Betting products, pricing, risk management, Boosts, Specials, Promotions, and Player Props in a fast-paced, 24/7 North American-facing environment. This role is not limited to narrow risk management but encompasses the full 360° of the Sportsbook product, including performance, promotion, presentation, and pricing. The ideal candidate is data-driven, passionate about sports and sports betting, and committed to enhancing the fan experience.
About the Work:
- Manage live betting markets in real-time across assigned sports/events.
- Adjust odds proactively based on game state (score, time, momentum), injuries, key events, and market movement/betting activity.
- Execute liability-aware decisions, including price moves, market suspension, and stake/limit considerations.
- Ensure pricing remains competitive against key operators (e.g., Bet365, Pinnacle).
- Operate within event templates and market tiers, adjusting as needed.
- Monitor and react to sharp or arbitrage activity.
- Use internal tools to track exposure and performance.
- Contribute to live trading improvements and process optimization.
About You:
- A post-secondary degree in a relevant field, such as mathematics, business, or analytical disciplines.
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in a trading environment or assessing/calculating risk in insurance/finance.
- Strong sports betting knowledge and interest in betting/odds.
- Data-obsessed with excellent mathematical skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to multitask and work under pressure.
- Ability to make quick decisions in fast-paced environments.
- Exceptional time management and attention to detail.
- Quick learner, independent worker, and team player.
- Strong initiative and work ethic.
