What you'll do:
The Senior Product Marketing Manager is the storyteller and market facing expert in their product domain, a contributor to strategy and roadmap, and the owner of growth leading to the market launch of their products through orchestration of the marketing team. This includes developing compelling product positioning and messaging, leading cross-functional teams to bring products to market successfully, and driving product adoption through targeted marketing campaigns and sales enablement. They serve as the market expert, gathering competitive intelligence and customer insights to inform the product roadmap and strategy, and act as a trusted advisor to product management, sales, and marketing teams. Ultimately, they are accountable for driving growth and market leadership for their assigned product portfolio.

Tell the product story in a simple, clear, and compelling way to differentiate & share Geotab’s products with the world.
Partner with Product Marketing Management (PMM) leadership and other senior team members to build the holistic product marketing roadmap with other senior team members, ensuring alignment with business priorities. Assist with defining KPAs for the team and overall team goals year over year. Define how we’ll achieve the next level of growth.

Partner with Product Marketing Management (PMM) leadership to shape the Product Marketing craft at Geotab and the role Product Marketing plays as the team grows & develops. Stand up processes and standards for how we go to market and coordinate with internal stakeholders. Explore or manage the use of 3rd party tools or platforms to enhance the capabilities of the PMM function.
Serve as a mentor for more junior team members of both PMM and the organization as whole.
Develop razor sharp customer insights and empathy. Build expertise and a central repository for industry + growth trends, personas, competition, distribution channels/partners.
Partner with the marketing team to develop an analyst relations strategy for briefings and engagements, create content and messaging for analyst briefings, serve as Geotab SME in analyst content creation (review/edit content).
Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to embody the "voice" of the product, possessing comprehensive knowledge of its features and capabilities. Tailor messaging and documentation to meet the specific requirements of individual and sales teams.
Work closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of product marketing strategies.
Work with marketing to develop a content strategy by buyer funnel stages and serve as Geotab SME in content development. This content includes but is not limited to white papers, case studies, blog posts, slide decks, sales tools, ROI calculators, and webinars to enable product launches and ongoing marketing campaigns.
Attend product-related events such as webinars, trade shows, and customer forums to drive engagement and adoption.
Establish and maintain a feedback loop with customers to where insights are distilled into actionable changes or enhancements to the product roadmap. Work with Product to ensure customer needs are met through product improvements and new product development.
Advance product, sales, and marketing KPAs through product marketing deliverables (messaging and content). Ensure successful adoption of features and functionality of new releases. Monitor pipeline and lead generation goals in partnership with marketing teams.
Manage the budget for product marketing activities, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
Collaborate with Sales Enablement on the creation and delivery of training programs and sales tools to equip the sales team with the knowledge and resources they need to effectively sell the product.
What you'll bring to this role:
8+ years of work experience ideally in Product Marketing in SaaS.
Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree specialization in Engineering, Business/Marketing, Computer Science or a related field highly valued.
Self starter, resourceful with strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve to well-judged decisions.
Proven ability to contribute to product marketing strategy and roadmap development, with a keen sense of priorities, along with an ability to pivot as the landscape changes.
Ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong focus on deadlines and deliverables.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and market conditions.
Deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate those needs into compelling product marketing strategies.
Experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members.
Ability to establish and optimize product marketing processes and standards.
Expertise in conducting in-depth competitive analysis and developing strategies to differentiate products.
Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers.
