About the Position

As a Senior Product Manager at Vetcove, you’ll be at the heart of enhancing and scaling the platforms that power veterinary clinics and their pet parents. You will own high-impact product initiatives end-to-end, from defining strategy and roadmap to execution and post-launch optimization. You will drive cross-functional alignment, lead complex initiatives, and proactively identify opportunities to improve user experience, operational efficiency, and long-term platform scalability.

You will monitor product performance and feedback, oversee robust quality assurance processes, and remove roadblocks that impact customer growth and retention. You will work closely with internal team members including account managers, onboarding associates, engineering, data, design, and support. You will also build strong relationships with external stakeholders, including veterinary clinics and pet parents.

You will play a critical role in defining product vision, evaluating tradeoffs, and assessing strengths, opportunities, and risks associated with software products and services.

This isn’t just another product role—it’s an opportunity to shape the long-term strategy of a platform trusted by thousands of veterinary professionals. If you're passionate about solving meaningful challenges at scale, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering measurable business impact, we’d love to have you on board.

What You’ll Do
  • Drive Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and own product strategy for key areas of the platform, translating company goals and customer insights into a clear, prioritized roadmap.

  • Lead Complex Initiatives: Oversee large, cross-functional projects from discovery through launch and iteration, ensuring on-time delivery and measurable impact.

  • Turn Feedback & Data into Action: Synthesize qualitative feedback and quantitative data to identify opportunities, validate hypotheses, and inform strategic decisions.

  • Optimize Product Performance: Establish and monitor KPIs, analyze product performance trends, and lead initiatives to improve adoption, engagement, retention, and revenue outcomes.

  • Strengthen Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with engineering, design, data, onboarding, and support to align on requirements, scope, tradeoffs, and success metrics.

  • Elevate Product Documentation & Processes: Create detailed product requirement documents, user stories, and technical specifications to ensure clarity and execution excellence.

  • Ensure High-Quality Delivery: Lead comprehensive QA processes, define acceptance criteria, and uphold a high bar for user experience and product reliability.

  • Mentor & Influence: Provide guidance to junior product managers and influence stakeholders across departments to foster strong product thinking throughout the organization.

  • Drive Go-to-Market & Enablement: Partner with internal teams to ensure successful launches, create training materials, and support feature adoption across customers and internal stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For
  • Experience: A four-year college degree and 5+ years of progressive product management experience, including ownership of complex product areas and demonstrated success delivering strategic, cross-functional initiatives that drive measurable business impact in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.

  • Skills: Proven ability to define and execute product strategy, manage multi-quarter roadmaps, lead discovery and experimentation efforts, and partner closely with engineering and design to ship scalable, high-quality solutions.

  • Strategic Thinker: Strong track record of setting long-term product vision, balancing short-term wins with long-term platform investments, and making principled tradeoffs aligned with company objectives.

  • Data-Driven Decision Maker: Advanced analytical capabilities with experience defining KPIs, building business cases, leveraging experimentation frameworks, and using data analytics tools to inform prioritization and measure success.

  • Execution Excellence: Extensive experience writing detailed product requirement documents, leading sprint planning and backlog grooming, managing stakeholder expectations, and delivering complex launches with operational rigor.

  • Strong Communicator & Influencer: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment across diverse, cross-functional teams.

  • Customer-Obsessed: Deep commitment to understanding user workflows, conducting research and interviews, and translating insights into impactful product improvements.

  • Organizational Leadership: Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, mentor junior team members, and lead without direct authority.

  • Tech-Savvy: Strong understanding of technical architecture, APIs, integrations, and system design considerations; comfort engaging in technical discussions and evaluating implementation tradeoffs.

Vetcove is a highly disruptive, Y Combinator-backed B2B eCommerce and inventory management platform fundamentally revolutionizing how veterinary hospitals purchase their medical supplies. Founded in 2015 by brothers Alex and Mitchell Kates—who grew up working in their father's equine practice—and headquartered in Miami, Florida, the company operates as the ultimate unified procurement engine for the veterinary industry. Under the hood, Vetcove seamlessly aggregates the catalogs of every major veterinary supplier and manufacturer into a single, centralized dashboard. Their primary target audience spans over 23,000 veterinary clinics, massive animal hospitals, zoos, and non-profits who desperately need to bypass the massive friction of juggling dozens of vendor websites, phone calls, and backorder lists. What sets Vetcove apart in the fiercely competitive HealthTech landscape is its uncompromising commitment to the community; offering its core price-comparison and checkout software completely free to clinics, empowering them to slash ordering time in half, secure the absolute best pricing, and take back control of their practice's profitability.
