Job Description:

Meade is looking for a Senior Marketing Proposal Manager to run our proposal function, full stop. That means owning which pursuits we chase, how we tell our story, and whether what goes out the door actually gives us a shot at winning. You'll lead the proposal process, work directly with principals, and have the judgment to build a clear, data-backed recommendation on which pursuits are worth the firm's resources. Final go/no-go rests with leadership, but this person's read on fit and win probability should be the input that decision starts from.

This is a senior seat. We're not looking for someone to format documents. We're looking for someone to make the call on where our resources go and defend that call in the room.

Job Duties:

Pipeline strategy
You'll own the firm's opportunity pipeline strategy, prioritizing pursuits based on fit, win probability, and strategic value to the firm's vertical and geographic growth goals, and build the recommendation leadership uses to make the final go/no-go call. That means leading decision meetings with principals and BD leadership, bringing market intelligence and competitive analysis to the table, with a clear recommendation and the data behind it.

Proposal leadership and content strategy
You'll build win themes with principals and project managers, turning technical capability into a story a client actually wants to read. You'll oversee every proposal, SOQ, and RFP response for consistency and quality, build out a real content library (boilerplate, resumes, past performance) so we stop rebuilding from scratch every time, work with the bid project manager to manage subconsultant and teaming partner input, and lead interview prep; presentations and coaching included.

Quality and process
You're the last set of eyes before it goes to leadership. You'll set the QA/QC standard, enforce it, and keep improving our templates and process so the team gets faster and the win rate goes up.

Cross-functional work
You'll work closely with BD and principal staff to keep proposal strategy tied to actual business development goals, own win/loss tracking, run debriefs that produce real lessons, not just a rubber-stamp meeting, and report pipeline health and win rates to leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in AEC proposals/marketing, with real time experience inside an engineering firm, architecture firm, or general contractor.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, architecture, engineering, or a related field.
  • A track record leading complex, high-value RFP/RFQ pursuits start to finish.
  • Experience managing or working inside a proposal team.
  • Advanced skills in InDesign, Word, and PowerPoint; Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Executive presence; you can sit across from a principal and hold your position.
  • Writing and editing chops that turn technical detail into a narrative someone actually wants to read.
