About the Role
You already know search has changed. Our audience is researching their options in AI first, and seeing Google AI Overviews before they see a single blue link.
We're hiring someone to own how Eve shows up across AI answer engines and turn that visibility into a real growth channel.
This is a scrappy, hands-on, individual-contributor role for someone who can get creative with content and distribution — using AI and technical skill to make things worth citing, not just things that exist.
Content quality is non-negotiable here. We have a hard line against AI slop, and we're looking for someone whose instincts are audience-first to keep content valuable.
What You'll Accomplish
- Drive Eve’s strategy and execution for showing up across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and Google AI Overviews.
- Create content built to get cited, not just published. Deliver pieces most likely to earn AI citations at scale, held to the same accuracy bar as everything else we publish to attorneys.
- Build and maintain AEO measurement reporting. Track Eve's citation rate, share of voice, and visibility across AI answer engines against competitors in our category, and report progress against our AI-visibility goals.
- Shore up owned properties for AEO/GEO. Audit and improve eve.legal content so it's structured for AI retrieval: clear answers, FAQ and comparison content, schema and structured data, citation-ready formatting
- Get Eve into the conversations where citations originate in collaboration across marketing and PR. A few examples: review sites and legal-tech directories, plaintiff-firm and legal-ops communities, legal-tech press and analysts.
- Run growth experiments across channels. Test what actually moves citation rate and share of voice, like new content formats, distribution channels, community placements.
- Manage contract and agency support. Brief and manage contractors across content creation, AEO, and technical SEO.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- A track record of moving AI visibility and content growth metrics: AI citations, organic traffic, qualified sign-ups. You can point to specific work and explain what you did, how you did it and why.
- A scrappy, ship-it mindset. You'd rather try something, measure it, and move on than spend a week on a strategy deck. You’re excited about building the AEO playbook for Eve, and you’ve got a point of view on where SEO, AEO, and AI-native workflows are headed next.
- Working SEO knowledge. Enough hands-on understanding of search, schema, and AI retrieval to know what's broken and what's worth fixing first.
- Strong writer. You can produce content good enough to publish for an audience of lawyers. You can identify strong angles and hooks, and you have opinions on how to hit a high-quality bar.
- Comfortable in the tools of the job for AI visibility (e.g., Profound, Peec AI), content creation (e.g., Airops), SEO and organic traffic (e.g., Search Console, Ahrefs/Semrush/GA4).
- Experience briefing and managing contractors/agencies. You know how to delegate without losing the quality bar.
Bonus Points
- Experience in legal tech, B2B SaaS, or another skeptical/non-technical buyer audience.
- Existing relationships with legal-industry communities, publications, directories, or analysts.
- Coding or vibe-coding experience
