Stedi is the only headless clearinghouse and RCM engine, offering modern, AI-ready APIs alongside traditional real-time and batch EDI processes. They were ranked as one of the fastest-growing SaaS vendors by Ramp and have secured $142 million in funding.
What we’re looking for
We’re hiring a Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting & Operations as Stedi’s first dedicated revenue accounting hire. You will own revenue accounting and customer billing as the business continues to scale, establishing core processes and controls. Responsibilities include ensuring revenue integrity across contract terms, transaction data, invoicing, recognition, close, and audit-ready reporting.
The role focuses on building a scalable path from metered usage to invoicing and collection, improving systems, data flows, and controls for invoice generation, and ensuring billing information flows reliably into the general ledger while maintaining accuracy and customer experience.
The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a revenue accounting or revenue operations role in a high-growth SaaS environment. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required, with a CPA strongly preferred.
What you'll do
- Lead and execute revenue-related month-end and audit readiness activities, including preparing revenue schedules, booking revenue journal entries, and reconciling revenue-related GL accounts.
- Perform detailed contract review and analysis for non-standard arrangements to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with ASC 606, and thoroughly document conclusions.
- Own customer billing, including validating usage and contract data, issuing accurate and timely invoices and credits, and resolving billing exceptions.
- Modernize the infrastructure by reimagining how revenue accounting operates from billing through recognition and collections, with an eye toward scalability and automation.
- Keep policy current by maintaining and evolving revenue recognition policy to ensure consistency across a growing and diversifying product portfolio.
- Partner across teams to close process gaps, improve customer experience, and make billing and revenue accounting more accurate and efficient.
- Support Accounting and business partners with clear guidance, strong communication, and a practical approach to operational issue resolution.
- Maintain and improve SOPs, process documentation, and supporting materials that enable strong controls, audit readiness, and repeatable execution.
- Support external audits by preparing PBC schedules and responding to auditor inquiries related to revenue.
Who you are
- Possess 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a revenue accounting or revenue operations role in a high-growth SaaS environment.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
- Have deep expertise in ASC 606, with experience recognizing revenue in a usage-based or consumption-based billing model.
- Ability to translate technical conclusions into practical product, contract, billing, data, and operating requirements.
- Ownership of an end-to-end billing or order-to-cash process, not just accounting entries.
- Proven ability to build and scale revenue accounting processes, including close, reconciliations, and controls, in a high-growth environment.
- Highly technical with a focus on automating workflows, working directly with underlying data, and using modern tools and AI to build financial systems that are faster, more reliable, and less dependent on manual processes.
- Thrives in ambiguity, creates structure from chaos, and independently designs scalable processes and systems from scratch.
- Relentless and resourceful, ensuring thorough understanding and resolution of issues.
- Moves fast and operates with precision, thriving in an environment where clarity, accountability, and urgency matter.

Stedi
View Company ProfileStedi (operating under stedi.com, legally Stedi, Inc.) is the premier, enterprise-grade programmable healthcare clearinghouse, electronic data interchange (EDI) pioneer, and developer-first health tech orchestration powerhouse engineered to act as the definitive, high-velocity transactions, real-time eligibility checks, and automated claims processing layer for modern healthcare providers, digital health platforms, and revenue cycle management (RCM) applications. Founded in 2017 by tech visionary Zack Kanter, the company completely eliminates the severe systemic friction of traditional healthcare administration—where developers suffer from the immense overhead of ancient X12 EDI file formats, face complex manual insurance enrollment loops, and struggle with high-latency transaction networks—by deploying a code-first, developer-friendly transactional API matrix. Moving far beyond legacy, black-box clearinghouses that rely on brittle SFTP batch processing and paper-heavy workflows, Stedi natively unifies real-time eligibility checks (270/271), multi-format claims submissions (837), digital remittances (835), real-time claim status tracking (276/277), and paper-to-digital claim options into a high-availability developer workspace. Guided by a mission to turn the underlying plumbing of healthcare into a seamless API, the platform empowers rapid-growth health platforms to automate their entire billing loop, scale and configure custom payer rules, and launch native billing integrations with zero legacy friction. Highlighting its category-defining momentum and investor confidence, the high-growth enterprise has raised over $266.5 million in institutional venture capital, backed by a monumental $50 million Series C financing round in March 2026 led by Addition with continued participation from Stripe, Ribbit Capital, Union Square Ventures, First Round Capital, BoxGroup, and Bloomberg Beta, alongside tech luminaries including Tobi Lütke (Shopify), Guillermo Rauch (Vercel), and Karim Atiyeh (Ramp). Under the hood, its technology core utilizes optimized web-ready JSON interfaces that instantly parse and compile raw X12 EDI documents, secure real-time routing nodes to thousands of commercial insurance payers, and a HIPAA-compliant, SOC 2-certified data infrastructure built to process hundreds of millions of monthly transactions with millisecond-level execution latency. What sets Stedi apart is its uncompromising dedication to replacing fragmented, legacy healthcare networks with absolute transactional predictability, a modern developer ecosystem, and automated claim flow integrity; by bridging the gap between performance-intensive structural data routing and the fast-paced, high-overhead realities of modern clinical operations, the corporation remains a definitive cornerstone of modern algorithmic healthtech and global billing infrastructure transformation.
