About the Role:

Camunda is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to join their AI-native team. The role involves building and enhancing an AI-native data platform, including custom pipelines, CI/CD processes, and shaping the data landscape. The team champions effective data acquisition, storage, processing, and utilization, fostering a culture of data stewardship and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Work with producers to build pipelines that bring data from source systems into the warehouse.
• Manage parts of the warehouse and orchestrate the transformation layer.
• Build and productionize ML models, including feature and training pipelines, serving/inference, and monitoring.
• Lead architectural enhancements to optimize data warehouse performance for efficiency and scalability.
• Independently ship large-scale data products.
• Enhance CI/CD processes with a focus on data quality testing.
• Drive continuous improvement in product quality, security, and performance.

What You Bring:

• Ability or willingness to use Camunda’s product.
• 5+ years of Data Engineering or ML experience.
• Strong data modeling skills and several years of experience with dbt.
• Ownership mindset; proud of small-team accomplishments.
• Experience deploying, operating, and evolving data pipelines in the cloud (batching and streaming).
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Strong communication skills, enjoys sharing knowledge and learning collaboratively.
• Passion for clean code and adept at writing automated tests to maintain codebase quality.

What We Offer:

Compensation is competitive, fair, and transparent, with location-based ranges:

• United States: $143,800.00 to $231,900.00
• United Kingdom: £90,300.00 to £148,500.00
• Singapore: S$178,600.00 to S$267,900.00

Equity is offered through the Virtual Stock Option Plan (VSOP).
