Senior Core Application Engineer (PolisyAsia) - Insurance/Financial Systems

The Role

You will be responsible for developing and delivering engineering deliverables for Products Sales, Customer acquisition, and Servicing solutions, including Core Applications (PolisyAsia), workflows, and middleware integration with front-end and mobile applications.

Collaborate closely with Business Product Owners, Tech-Delivery Leads, and other technical team members to define the technical design for Product Launches, post-launch product features, enhancements, and new project initiatives.

Ensure technical solutions meet demand and oversee Core Application deliverables for product launches, post-launch features, servicing, and middleware integration.

This role will ideally position you as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Core Application (PolisyAsia) initiatives.

Partner with business product owners to drive Product & Proposition targets and Customer Service deliverables.

Take ownership of technical delivery for assigned tasks/projects, working independently while keeping your manager and team updated.

Build relationships with Delivery Leads, engineering team members, and business users across the organization. Articulate technical solutions effectively across teams.

Contribute to the overall Policy Admin System architecture and design, providing best-practice guidance and patterns.

Maintain knowledge of industry verticals and stay updated on the latest developments in the Insurance/Financial Industries to support and suggest appropriate solutions for user needs.

Be task-driven, committed to timelines, and provide production issue investigation and resolution as needed.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of GI Policy admin features and functionalities.
• 5–7 years of experience in the Insurance/Financial Industry, with a minimum of 5 years supporting Core Policy Admin systems, particularly PolisyAsia.
• Knowledge of surrounding applications like GI Integrations, distribution channels, and external parties integrated with GI.
• Strong experience in omnichannel Integration.
• Proficient understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies.
• Knowledge of integrating with other surrounding applications around core applications.
• Solution-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
• Excellent conceptual and analytical skills, with a high motivation to define process automation.
• Proven ability to work in a cross-functional and collaborative team environment.
• Experience with application integration middleware (e.g., MuleSoft) is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Iterative delivery methodology.
