With leading data-driven and technology-enabled digital media and marketing services, our diverse team includes digital strategists, media practitioners, technologists, and data scientists.
The Role
The Senior Client Director (SCD) is the senior-most client leader responsible for stewarding mid to large-size full-funnel media partnerships across high-growth categories such as consumer brands, specialty retail, QSR, and multi-location retail. This role owns the strategic direction, channel strategy, investment architecture, relationship leadership, and business growth for key accounts, ensuring every media recommendation is grounded in consumer insight, category dynamics, and measurable outcomes.
Experience with quick-service restaurants, fast casual, franchise, retail, hospitality, or other multi-location brands is strongly preferred, as this role requires balancing national brand priorities with local and market-level execution needs.
The SCD is accountable for defining channel mix, investment allocation frameworks, and cross-channel orchestration models that translate business goals into holistic media strategies. This role unifies internal teams across strategy, media, analytics, measurement, and creative partners to deliver cohesive, outcome-driven programs.
As the primary executive contact for clients, the Senior Client Director ensures Goodway is seen as a proactive thought partner, delivering clarity, innovation, and confidence in every engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead full-funnel client engagements, anchoring business goals to integrated media strategies that drive measurable results across brand, demand, and performance objectives.
- Define channel strategy and investment allocations across full-funnel media, ensuring alignment with client goals, consumer behavior, and category insights.
- Serve as the senior strategic advisor to client executives, proactively identifying growth opportunities, risks, and future pathways to drive business expansion.
- Orchestrate cross-functional teams including Client Strategy, Media Activation, Analytics, and external partners, ensuring a unified, insight-led, and operationally disciplined approach.
- Drive annual planning, quarterly strategy refreshes, and in-market optimization cycles with a focus on effectiveness, efficiency, and innovation.
- Own revenue growth, forecasting, and commercial health of assigned accounts; ensure renewals, upsells, and multi-year expansions.
- Lead strategic storytelling for QBRs, business reviews, and executive-level communications with a narrative grounded in data, consumer insight, and enterprise value.
- Advocate for category-specific insights and competitive intelligence, embedding vertical expertise into strategies and client recommendations.
- Partner with VP-level media and analytics leaders to ensure best practices, governance, channel frameworks, and performance methodologies elevate across the entire client portfolio.
- Mentor Client Strategy Leads and Client Managers, developing a high-performing bench of future leaders with strong communication and strategic skills.
- Participate in and at times represent and lead Client Strategy in new business pitches for Goodway Group.

Goodway Group
View Company ProfileGoodway Group (operating at goodwaygroup.com) is a Connected Commerce platform engineered for retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands seeking to bridge the gap between digital marketing and in-store performance. Founded in 1929 by Milton Wolk as a printing business, the company has evolved into a 95+-year-old independent partner headquartered in New York, specializing in aligning media, data, and in-store execution to drive measurable sales growth. Unlike traditional marketing approaches that treat physical and digital channels in silos, Goodway Group integrates these touchpoints, providing retailers with granular visibility into local-level performance and clearer insights into what influences consumer behavior on the modern shelf. Under the hood, the platform leverages proprietary tools and analytics to connect media investment with real-time in-store execution, enabling brands to optimize their strategies dynamically. This allows CPG and retail brands to achieve incremental revenue growth by ensuring their marketing efforts resonate effectively across both digital and physical retail environments. While specific funding details are not publicly disclosed, the company has been recognized as an Ad Age Best Place to Work, six times, underscoring its commitment to fostering a culture that prioritizes employee success as a driver of client outcomes.
