Senior Backend Engineer (.NET)

We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (.NET) who is passionate about writing high-quality code and solving complex technical problems. You'll play a key role in building and evolving a modern, cloud-based platform, contributing hands-on to architecture, code quality, and technical best practices.

This is a hands-on engineering role — you'll spend most of your time coding, reviewing code, and collaborating closely with your team to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

We're looking for someone who combines technical excellence with strong ownership, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset.

Experience with .NET, cloud (preferably GCP), and asynchronous or distributed systems is essential. Frontend experience (or a willingness to learn React) is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop backend systems using .NET / C# with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Apply and help uphold technical standards, architecture patterns, and best practices.
• Take ownership of your technical decisions, clearly articulating your reasoning and incorporating feedback from peers and stakeholders.
• Contribute to technical discussions, offering well-reasoned input on proposed solutions and architectural approaches.
• Collaborate with and support fellow engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Work closely with product and engineering peers to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Build deep system and domain expertise, demonstrating curiosity and persistence in understanding complex workflows and platform behaviors.
• Contribute ideas and feedback that help shape the technical roadmap.
• Maintain a balance between innovation, delivery, and long-term sustainability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Backend Engineer working with .NET / C#.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (GCP preferred, Azure/AWS also relevant).
• Experience with asynchronous, distributed, or event-driven systems.
• Solid knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and CI/CD practices.
• Demonstrated ability to make and explain sound technical decisions in collaborative environments.
• Strong sense of ownership, with a proactive and persistent approach to problem-solving and learning complex systems.
• Great communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Curiosity for learning new technologies — especially frontend frameworks like React.
