Riveron is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Associate β Finance Operations to support U.S. accounting and finance operations, including month-end close activities, technical accounting schedules, and financial reporting for U.S. entities. This role is ideal for qualified finance professionals with strong exposure to U.S. GAAP, complex accounting processes, internal controls, and U.S. statutory compliance.
The Senior Associate will lead day-to-day general ledger operations, complex reconciliations, tax compliance support, and management reporting, ensuring strict adherence to internal controls and U.S. accounting standards.
Who You Are:
- You must have 3β4 years of relevant experience in U.S. accounting, financial reporting, or audit, preferably within a Global Capability Center (GCC), or U.S.-focused financial services environment.
- You must be a MBA (Finance), or M.Com graduate or Semi-Qualified CA.
- You must possess advanced MS Excel skills with hands-on experience in complex data analysis, financial modeling, flux analysis, and reconciliations.
- You must have hands-on experience working with an enterprise ERP system, preferably Oracle NetSuite.
- You must have a robust understanding of U.S. GAAP, core general ledger accounting, month-end close mechanics, technical accounting schedules, including leases and accruals.
- You must have excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative, self-motivated mindset, capable of managing deliverables across U.S. and India time zones with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism. Must be comfortable working shift hours (4:00 PM to 1:00 AM IST) to ensure strong overlap with U.S. teams.
What Youβll Do:
- Drive and oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes in Oracle NetSuite, maintaining robust GL hygiene, accurate ledger postings, and balance sheet flux analysis.
- Own and manage complex accounting schedules, including intangible/goodwill amortization etc.
- Conduct and review complex bank, intercompany, and GL reconciliations, performing detailed ledger scrutiny to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Review monthly and quarterly U.S. state/local tax filings and coordinate with external tax advisors on open tax items and review annual 1099 contractor tax reporting processing.
- Oversee intercompany validations, eliminations, cross-border funding transfers, and Transfer Pricing calculations.
- Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for statutory, tax, and internal audits, ensuring total adherence to internal controls and SOPs.
- Review vendor/payroll accruals, AP/AR activities, and daily/weekly schedules.
Qualifications:
- MBA(Finance) or M.Com or Semi-Qualified CA.
- 3β4 years of professional experience in U.S. accounting, financial reporting, or technical accounting.
- Hands-on experience working with a standard ERP system, preferably Oracle NetSuite.
- Strong proficiency in advanced MS Excel (lookup formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling, data reconciliations, and variance/flux analysis).
- Good understanding of U.S. GAAP, accounting standards, and financial compliance documentation.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving capabilities, excellent communication, and an ownership mindset to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
