About Paddle: Paddle offers digital product companies a completely different approach to their payment infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of payments-related apps and services, we’re a Merchant of Record for our customers. This means we take away 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation. It’s faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, way better.

We’re backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 6,000 software sellers in 245 territories globally.

The Role:

We are looking for a resourceful, ambitious, and autonomous Sales Specialist, preferably with a strong understanding of SaaS or Payments, eager to contribute to ambitious growth plans in the Americas. This is an exciting time for you to join: based on the size and breadth of our customers, we are growing like never before!

As a key member of our Sales team, your primary focus will be to convert qualified leads into delighted Paddle customers. You'll engage directly with a diverse range of companies, from SaaS to AI to app companies, as they explore their e-commerce provider needs. Your role is critical in helping us define, drive, and achieve our revenue targets, ultimately bringing us closer to our vision of making Paddle the go-to solution for SaaS, AI, and app businesses worldwide.

This is a remote role based in Boston, MA.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build pipeline from leads armed by your Business Development Representative and Marketing counterparts, as well as your own self-sourced opportunities.
  • Be responsible for creating a portion of your own self-generated pipeline opportunities.
  • Handle the full sales cycle from prospecting, qualifying, carrying out demos, through to closing deals.
  • Master Paddle’s product, know the features inside and out, understand the industry, and be able to articulate Paddle’s value to CTOs, Heads of Product, and CEOs alike.
  • Collaborate with management and across departments (Marketing, Product, Success, etc.) to determine the most effective approach for each sales opportunity.
  • Identify flaws in both Paddle's and our competitors' products during the sales process, helping to inform our sales techniques and product roadmap.
  • Learn and refine new sales skills with regular Account Executive sales training sessions and continuously learn and develop yourself as a thought leader in the industry.
  • Mentor new Account Executives as they ramp and learn the process.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Have extensive closing experience in a software or SaaS business, managing multi-threaded sales processes and enterprise deals.
  • Have experience with consultative, value-based selling and a proven track record of exceeding your quota.
  • Have experience selling highly technical products/services.
  • Be great at liaising with prospective clients in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Have an entrepreneurial attitude that thrives when solving complex challenges and want to be part of an exceptionally fast-growing company.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the payments space or selling B2B SaaS.
  • Prior experience at a growth-stage Internet/software company.
  • Experience selling to technical persons, such as CTOs, Head of Product, (Technical) Founders.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce providers such as Stripe, Braintree, PayPal, Cleverbridge and subscription-based services like Chargebee, Zuora, Recurly.
  • Able to operate in an unstructured, self-starting environment.

Paddle is the premier, enterprise-grade Merchant of Record (MoR) and global digital billing orchestration powerhouse engineered to operate as the definitive, unified payments, tax, and compliance infrastructure layer for B2B and B2C SaaS corporations. The company eliminates the compounding systemic friction of scaling international software sales—which typically forces engineering teams to build fragile, multi-vendor billing stacks compromised by fragmented payment gateways, localized sales tax (VAT/GST) liabilities, multi-currency pricing compliance, and disconnected subscription management logic—by deploying a comprehensive, full-stack revenue delivery platform. Moving far beyond rigid, isolated payment gateways or simple API-wrapper billing paradigms, Paddle acts as the legal merchant of record, dynamically assuming full liability for international sales tax calculation, global financial compliance reporting, fraud prevention, and chargeback management with elite, scalable, and audit-ready precision. Under the hood, their sophisticated proprietary operational engine—bolstered by automated banking infrastructure rails, real-time localized checkout telemetry, and deep domain expertise across global jurisdictions—natively manages high-velocity cross-border transaction clearings, persistent subscription retention workflows, and centralized revenue analytics. What sets Paddle apart is its uncompromising dedication to frictionless operational abstraction; by bridging the gap between performance-intensive global regulatory demands and accessible, high-velocity developer APIs, the firm empowers modern software companies to radically accelerate their global market expansion velocity, eliminate systemic financial engineering bottlenecks, and build an unassailable foundation for continuous commercial growth in the modern, AI-transformed macroeconomic landscape.
