About the Role
The Sales Advisor role is crucial to our mission of delivering a transformative Co-Active experience to all our customers. As an Advisor, you will be responsible for converting inbound leads into enthusiastic participants in our coach training and leadership programs, guiding potential and active clients through the registration process, and ensuring they feel supported and informed at every step of their journey.
Advisors play a vital part in creating a true Co-Active experience, allowing customers to fully understand and connect with our values and offerings. You will act as a trusted partner to our clients, providing insightful answers to their questions and following up with current customers to offer additional opportunities that enhance their engagement with our programs.
This role also sits at the front of our expansion into organizational (B2B) business. We are building offerings for companies, HR, and L&D leaders, and we are looking for Advisors who can grow with us: people who excel at converting inbound demand today and who have the appetite and skill to develop outbound, consultative B2B business as those offerings come to market. Innovation and creativity in strategy are encouraged, and by collaborating cross-functionally you will help shape how Co-Active sells to both individuals and organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Inbound conversion (primary focus)
- Convert inbound leads into customers by effectively communicating the value of our coach training and leadership programs.
- Guide prospective participants through the registration process, ensuring a seamless experience.
- Respond promptly and professionally to questions from potential candidates and participants, providing accurate information and addressing their concerns.
- Embody the ethos of Co-Active customer support and channel it in every interaction.
- Follow up with current customers to identify and offer additional opportunities that meet their needs and enhance their experience with our programs.
- Maintain detailed, accurate records of interactions with leads and customers in our CRM to ensure efficient follow-up and reliable reporting.
- Achieve individual and team conversion targets and contribute to overall sales and revenue goals.
B2B and organizational business (growing focus)
- Identify and qualify organizational opportunities that surface through inbound conversations (for example, participants exploring coach training for their teams or companies) and progress them toward a proposal.
- Execute targeted outreach to HR, L&D, OD, and Talent leaders through calls, email, social media touchpoints, networking, and events as our B2B offerings become available.
- Guide prospects through a needs-based discovery process to understand organizational challenges, talent development goals, and growth potential.
- Create and present proposals that align with each client’s values, culture, and business objectives.
- Contribute to the development of B2B sales assets, messaging, and playbooks alongside the sales leadership team.
Team and process
- Collaborate with the sales and customer success teams to ensure a cohesive, customer-focused approach.
- Stay current on our program offerings and industry trends to provide informed recommendations.
- Represent the company at webinars and events to elevate brand awareness and connect with potential clients.
- Suggest and help implement improvements that streamline processes and elevate the customer experience.
- Occasional availability outside of normal working hours, for example to support webinars.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in consultative sales with a proven track record of closing, preferably in education, coaching, training, learning & development, or professional services.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of inbound conversations (calls, email, follow-ups) while staying organized and responsive.
- Experience qualifying leads using BANT or an equivalent framework.
- Experience with, or a demonstrated appetite for, generating new business through outbound prospecting and relationship building.
- Experience selling to HR, L&D, OD, or Talent leaders, or a strong understanding of how organizations buy learning and development, is highly desirable.
- Proficient in CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot) and digital sales tools.
- Self-directed and accountable: able to manage time effectively, prioritize inbound demand, and hit conversion targets while building longer-cycle opportunities.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
Strongly Preferred: Coaching Background
We have found that Advisors who have personal experience with coaching sell more effectively, because they can speak to the transformation our programs create from lived experience rather than from a script. We therefore strongly prefer candidates who have:
- Completed coach training (Co-Active or another accredited program), or hold or are pursuing an ICF credential; or
- Meaningful exposure to coaching, for example as a client, through a leadership development program, or by working closely with coaches in a prior role.
If you don’t have this background but are genuinely drawn to coaching and personal growth, we still encourage you to apply and tell us why.
We’re Excited About You Because
- You’re a Consultative Communicator: Able to listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and tailor messaging to both individual and executive audiences.
- You Initiate: Driven and confident, willing to initiate communication and action to earn new business, whether from an inbound lead or a cold organizational prospect.
- You’re a High Achiever: Self-motivated and committed to achieving aggressive performance targets.
- You’re Versatile: You can switch between fast inbound conversion and longer, multi-stakeholder B2B cycles without losing momentum on either.
- You’re Market-Savvy: You understand trends in corporate learning, coaching, and employee development.
- You’re a Team Player: You collaborate across departments with humility and professionalism.
- You’re a Builder: You spot inefficiencies, enjoy problem solving, and no task is too small or too big.
- You Grow: You’re a lifelong learner with a growth mindset who is drawn to the Co-Active way of working.
You’re Excited About Us Because
- You’ll work remotely from your home
- Medical, dental, and vision plans available
- Monthly Wi-Fi stipend
- Generous PTO and annual holidays
- Employee Stock Ownership Plan
- 401k Retirement Plan
- Free Employee Registration Program for our very own CTI programs
- Parental leave
