Our comprehensive cloud platform seamlessly unifies finance teams, customers, and core business systems into a cohesive ecosystem. Trusted by over 10,000 corporate clients and connecting more than 5 million transacting businesses, Versapay reliably processes over 110 million transactions and $257 billion in gross transaction volume annually.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly autonomous, systems-fluent, and data-driven Revenue & Accounting Operations Controller to lead our global order-to-cash (O2C) infrastructure, SaaS billing tracks, and revenue recognition compliance under a permanent, full-time remote configuration within the United States. In this high-ownership corporate governance seat, you will act as the principal financial architecture authority, ensuring total data alignment across multi-tenant ledger spaces. Shifting completely away from routine non-regulated data transcription loops, entry-level admin logs, or manual support ticket processing, you will operate an active high-concurrency subscription billing, ASC 606 revenue compliance, and financial technology integration laboratory. Partnering directly beside distributed Data Analytics, Enterprise Sales, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations (RevOps) cells, you will challenge conventional processing limitations to drive operational readiness for international expansion. This position requires a certified corporate financial leader (CPA or matching pedigree) with 8–12 years of progressive SaaS infrastructure history who maps cash flows fluidly natively using Accountant, Financial Analyst, and ERP primitives, commands deep familiarity with large dataset parsing, and resides permanently within the Eastern or Central time zones.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue and O2C Pipeline Governance: Oversee, audit, and optimize the comprehensive end-to-end order-to-cash (O2C) pipeline, managing high-volume enterprise billing frameworks and corporate collections loops natively utilizing Accountant standards.
- ASC 606 Compliance Instrumentation: Design, enforce, and maintain ironclad ASC 606-compliant revenue recognition policies, acting as the definitive internal authority on the revenue impact of complex contracts and multi-tiered modifications.
- SaaS Metrics Optimization Control: Partner close-knit next to Data Analytics teams to align transactional billing streams with predictive forecasts, ARR/MRR data schemas, and cash conversion models.
- ERP and MarTech Stack Syncing: Supervise and automate data synchronization paths connecting front-end CRMs (Salesforce) cleanly to transaction gateways (Payfac, ISO) and back-end ERP systems (NetSuite / NetSuite SuiteBilling).
- FinTech Automation and Architecture: Evaluate, deploy, and configure emerging internal financial technology utilities to eliminate data silos, reduce DSO lag, and maximize accounting transparency.
- Cross-Functional Business Acceleration: Collaborate face-to-face alongside Legal, Sales, and RevOps cells to streamline client contracting flows, optimize invoicing accuracy, and establish scalable operational controls.
- Strategic Expansion Scaling: Provide quantitative insights into global capital reserves, working capital efficiency, and product portfolio tier restructurings to prepare systems for venture-backed or IPO scaling milestones.
- Audit Readiness and Team Enablement: Manage internal audit preparation tracks, author detailed standard operating workflows, and mentor a high-performing squad of financial operations professionals.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- A minimum of 8–12 years of proven, successful progressive professional history operating within a Revenue Operations Controller, Accounting Director, Technical Accountant, Senior Financial Analyst, or closely matching tech-enabled corporate finance capacity.
- Mandatory Professional Credentialing: Possess an active, verified Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent international corporate financial management certification.
- Deep, practical working literacy scaling complex SaaS business models—encompassing subscription tiers, usage-based consumption meters, deferred revenue models, and multi-tenant metric logic.
- Hands-on operational intimacy deploying and configuring enterprise-scale cloud ERP databases and payment infrastructures (explicitly including NetSuite, NetSuite SuiteBilling, Payfac, or ISO environments).
- Outstanding written, verbal, and numerical communication strengths in English, with an established track record turning messy, large operational data sets into scannable executive insight summaries.
- Location and Scheduling Context: Position operates under remote parameters open exclusively to qualified financial technology leaders residing permanently within the Eastern or Central Time Zones of the United States.
Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)
- Prior technical or financial leadership experience operating within rapid-scale venture-backed (VC) or Private Equity-backed (PE) technology environments.
- Direct operational experience executing full-lifecycle ERP system migrations or leading rigorous corporate IPO readiness preparation audits.
- An adaptable, high-urgency performance mindset that continuously seeks to refine internal methodologies and automate transactional bottlenecks.
What We Offer
- Top-Tier US FinTech Accounting Leadership Remuneration: A highly competitive annual base salary scale of $120,000 - $150,000 USD calibrated precisely to your CPA pedigree and NetSuite architecture expertise, supplemented by lucrative bonus components.
- 100% remote workspace infrastructure autonomy anywhere within the Eastern or Central US time zones, eliminating office commute constraints from your lifestyle.
- Macro Financial Platform Impact: Elite career landmarks achieved by governing the core financial operations, ledger systems, and compliance frameworks that facilitate over $250B in transaction streams annually.
- Comprehensive family-first health care preservation benefits, featuring premium medical, dental, and vision insurance packages.
- Access to generous Paid Time Off (PTO) structures, continuous training allowances, high-end technical equipment provisions, matching retirement frameworks, and a highly collaborative, diversity-valuing culture built around removing friction and driving business forward.
