QA Engineer – FinDB

As a licensed financial company with principal membership in card schemes, we specialize in global payments and multi-currency accounts for businesses.

The Role:

As a QA Engineer – FinDB, you will ensure the quality, stability, and reliability of our financial data and payment-related systems. Your responsibilities will span QA Automation, API and backend testing, functional testing, and debugging, ensuring our systems process and handle data accurately.

This is a hands-on QA Automation role where you will contribute to strong test coverage, identify issues early, and help deliver stable and reliable software in a complex financial environment. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of QA activities, deeply understand systems, and contribute to building a strong quality mindset within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain automated tests using Playwright with TypeScript.
• Create and execute test cases based on new feature implementations.
• Perform API and backend testing, ensuring correct system behavior and data integrity.
• Conduct functional, integration, regression, and system testing across FinDB systems.
• Conduct manual testing when needed to ensure full coverage.
• Prepare test scenarios, test cases, test data, and coverage based on product requirements.
• Analyze logs and system flows to identify issues and understand root causes.
• Identify, document, and track defects with clear evidence and reproducible steps.
• Participate in refinement sessions and provide QA input early in the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and product teams to improve quality and delivery.
• Contribute to improving test automation, coverage, and QA practices.
• Contribute to delivering stable and reliable software in a complex financial environment.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in QA Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Playwright
• TypeScript
• Python
• PyTest
• Experience with API and backend testing.
• Strong functional and integration testing experience.
• Ability to design and structure clear, maintainable test cases.
• Strong debugging skills, including working with logs and system behavior.
• Good understanding of data validation and system behavior.
• Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical topics clearly.
• Comfortable taking ownership and working in fast-paced, evolving environments.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in payments, fintech, e-commerce, or financial platforms.
• Experience with acquiring, settlement, payouts, or transaction-based systems.
• Understanding of transaction flows, reconciliation, or financial data.
• Experience with Selenium.
• Understanding of distributed systems or microservices architectures.
• Exposure to cloud-based environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git.
