About Neuroscale AI: Neuroscale AI is a premier, internationally recognized HR technology innovator, workflow automation pioneer, and enterprise artificial intelligence trailblazer operating on an absolute mission to turn corporate talent acquisition and workforce evaluation into a measurable, repeatable, and deeply intelligent science. By engineering our flagship ARBI platform, Neuroscale delivers an advanced ecosystem supporting automated candidate sourcing, screening, algorithmic matching, sequencing, and explainable candidate assessments for commercial enterprises, public-sector agencies, higher education institutions, and global staffing networks. Simultaneously, the company builds Athena, an AI-powered career readiness and candidate-assistance companion experience designed to help job seekers optimize resumes, prepare for interactive interviews, and receive automated rubric-based feedback. Operating at the fast-paced intersection of Generative AI (GenAI), recruiting operations, and cloud architecture, the firm provides high-agency quality engineering leaders with an uncompromised remote canvas to leverage state-of-the-art test suites, manipulate complex language model evaluation frameworks, and govern release readiness safely across the United States.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-obsessed, and systems-minded Senior QA Engineer / Quality Engineering Lead to join our core centralized Engineering department in a full-time remote capacity across the United States. In this high-leverage technical leadership seat, you will step up to claim true individual operational and strategic accountability for architecting, modernizing, and owning the comprehensive end-to-end quality assurance operating system across our ARBI and Athena product lines. Shifting completely away from routine standalone test case clicking, monotone clerical spreadsheet tracking, or passive document filling, you will operate as a principal validation architect—conducting deep quality audits, designing multi-tier automated regression suites, pressure-testing edge cases, and serving as the definitive central authority for product launch readiness. This position requires an enterprise tech or B2B SaaS verification veteran who engineers scalable automated test coverage fluidly natively using QA Engineer automation platforms, parses complex database environments and RESTful layers smoothly natively using Backend architectures, and commands LLM evaluation harnesses confidently under rapid continuous deployment deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Core QA Operating System Architecture: Perform a deep structural audit of our current testing landscape across front-end rendering layers, backend business logic, API endpoints, data workflows, third-party integrations, and automated release gates cleanly natively utilizing QA Engineer guidelines.
  • Horizontal Quality Strategy Implementation: Formulate and deploy a company-wide test roadmap spanning short-term stability tuning, mid-term test automation, and long-term quality maturity, integrating shift-left testing, smoke suites, and risk-based test coverage profiles.
  • Modernized Test Automation Engineering: Build, manage, and expand reliable automated front-end, API, and integration test scripts natively leveraging QA Engineer tools including Cypress, Playwright, Pytest, and Postman/Newman to compress manual regression loops.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Integration: Embed automated verification gates directly into continuous integration and deployment workflows, ensuring test results provide visible, real-time, and actionable release confidence signals for the developer community.
  • Backend and Distributed Integration Auditing: Verify the structural reliability of REST APIs, Python/FastAPI microservices, and high-throughput data processing pipelines, tracking database transactions smoothly natively using Backend code principles across PostgreSQL, Redis, and OpenSearch.
  • Asynchronous Workflow and Queue Validation: Pressure-test data processing pipelines and distributed event queues running over Celery and Temporal, executing high-volume performance, latency, search relevance, and data integrity load tests using JMeter, k6, or Locust.
  • AI, LLM, and Evaluation Harness Hardening: Build and maintain repeatable evaluation datasets and test harnesses to validate AI-assisted recruiting flows for algorithm accuracy, response consistency, explainability, hallucination risks, bias tracking, and prompt adherence.
  • Meticulous Defect Governance and Reporting: Author clear, structured, and highly reproducible bug records tracking screenshots, environment parameters, replication steps, expected behaviors, and actual metrics, leading cross-functional triage and re-testing sessions.
  • Technical Mentorship and Standards Setting: Partner in lockstep with distributed developers and product owners to define testing expectations, establishing shared code review practices and coding standards to improve pre-delivery product health.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of verified professional history running advanced software quality assurance, automated software testing engineering, backend systems verification, test automation architecture, or technical DevOps consulting.
  • SaaS Product Validation Sourcing: Documented career history successfully building quality structures for complex SaaS web platforms, high-transaction enterprise workflow tools, data-heavy systems, or AI-enabled software solutions.
  • Expert-tier capability writing automation scripts, building end-to-end workflows, and debugging cross-browser UI rendering loops natively utilizing QA Engineer platforms (specifically requiring hands-on history with Cypress, Playwright, or Pytest configurations).
  • Practical operational familiarity parsing relational tables, testing asynchronous backend layers, and checking server variables natively using Backend technical methodologies (with preferred execution background in Python and FastAPI platforms).
  • Demonstrated technical command conducting deep exploratory manual testing, edge-case tracking, responsive web verification, and release sign-off governance inside agile startup setups.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation communication traits in business-fluent English, enabling total clarity when presenting risk metrics dashboards or mentoring engineers on testing best practices.
  • Schedule and Location Context: Position open to qualified quality architects based permanently and resident within the United States to operate under a remote-first layout, with a core operational readiness to collaborate closely with the team during Eastern Time business hours and execute occasional travel to Northern Virginia / Washington, DC for in-person alignment.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

  • Prior commercial verification history operating in an advanced or leadership role, such as a Staff QA Engineer, Lead QA Engineer, Quality Engineering Lead, SDET Lead, Founding QA Engineer, or QA Architect.
  • Direct hands-on experience validating generative AI copilots, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) environments, agentic workflows, or human-in-the-loop decision networks.
  • Direct professional background inside the HR technology vertical, auditing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) tools, or workforce development products.
  • An outcome-driven personal philosophy rooted in high systems thinking, an absolute obsession with flawless software performance and data accessibility, and an intense passion for turning software testing into an exact, trusted science.

What We Offer

  • Vetted Enterprise-Scaled Salaried Blueprint: A highly competitive full-time base compensation package calibrated precisely to evaluate your quality engineering authority and automation depth, supplemented by potential performance incentives and high-upside equity participation models.
  • The exceptional professional canvas to claim absolute technical ownership over the quality framework protecting a next-generation Generative AI HR technology platform.
  • Profound work-from-home remote parameters offering a flexible remote-first structure across the United States, complete calendar management trust, and zero physical geographic office commuting friction out of any state.
  • Immediate baseline access to premium comprehensive corporate healthcare and protection tracks, including robust medical, dental, and vision insurance profiles along with flexible paid time off (PTO) allocations.
  • Access to elite personal and technical career enrichment systems, providing full support to finance external advanced engineering courses, industry conferences, technical books, and global quality engineering community enrollments.
