Position Summary
Momentum and Insights merge AI strategy with fundraising execution. This role focuses on how the product reaches the market, ensuring gift officers spend time on relationships rather than data entry. Insights provide wealth, demographic, and prospect signals to enhance fundraising efforts. This is a critical revenue initiative, and the PMM drives the campaign and pipeline motion to convert market narratives into bookings.
This is a front-of-house role. You will engage directly with CAOs, VPs of Advancement, and Sales teams to make the case for the product, build campaigns that fill the pipeline, and push deals forward. You are half product marketer, half marketing manager: fluent enough in product to be credible and commercially driven enough to own a number.
How This Differs from the Product Manager
The Product Manager (PM) is responsible to customers, owns strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for the product itself: why it was built, what ships next, and org-wide enablement on changes. This role focuses on why the product matters to the market and the commercial motion around it: positioning, campaigns, pipeline, and bookings, in partnership with Demand and Sales. The PM explains the product; the PMM sells the story and owns the number behind it.
What You Own
Go-to-market strategy for the surface. Define positioning, messaging, and the market narrative for Momentum and Insights, translating product and engineering outputs into compelling stories for CAOs, VPs of Advancement, and gift officers.
The pipeline number. Own the S2 pipeline goal for the unit alongside Demand and be accountable for it. Diagnose and fix pipeline shortfalls.
Campaign strategy. Partner with Demand to bring audience, message, and campaign briefs. Ensure the plan aligns with the number and holds the team accountable.
The bookings motion. Collaborate with Sales to understand what’s landing and build what the field team needs next: competitive positioning, objection handling, proof points, and pricing narratives.
Launches. Own the go-to-market plan for new product releases: audience, message, channel plan, and Sales talking points.
Market and competitive intelligence. Track positioning against competitors and ensure intelligence shapes campaigns and sales conversations.
Collaboration across PMMs. Stay connected with other product-line PMMs to maintain coherent positioning across Virtuous and avoid fragmentation.
How You Work
Front of house by instinct. Prefer being in the room with prospects or customers over writing about them.
Commercially minded. Think in terms of pipeline, attach rate, win rate, and bookings, not just launches shipped.
AI-forward operator. Use AI tools as part of research, content development, and campaign building.
Partnership without authority. Collaborate with Demand and Sales teams without direct control over their channels or quotas.
Product-fluent, not product-owning. Be credible in product discussions but avoid writing requirements or making roadmap decisions.
You Must Have
5+ years in product marketing, field marketing, or a hybrid GTM role at a B2B SaaS company, with accountability for pipeline or bookings.
Experience owning end-to-end go-to-market strategy: positioning, messaging, campaign strategy, and sales enablement.
Comfort partnering with channel-execution teams (paid, SDR, field, email, direct mail) without managing those channels.
A track record of engaging directly with prospects, customers, or analysts, not just writing about them.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to brief sales teams and interface with executive leadership.
Fluency with AI tools as part of everyday research, positioning, and content workflow.
Comfort with ambiguity and lean teams; build some of this function as you go.
Nice to have: Experience in nonprofit tech, higher education, or relational verticals; marketing a multi-product platform; or building a PMM function from scratch.

Virtuous
View Company ProfileVirtuous (operating under virtuous.org, legally Virtuous Software, Inc.) is the premier, enterprise-grade responsive fundraising platform, nonprofit CRM pioneer, and donor relationship orchestration powerhouse engineered to act as the definitive, high-velocity community growth, multi-channel marketing automation, and predictive analytics layer for international charities, faith-based organizations, and human services networks globally. Founded in 2014 by visionary software entrepreneur Gabe Cooper, the company completely eliminates the severe systemic friction of modern philanthropic management—where nonprofit teams suffer from rigid, data-siloed legacy systems, lose millions due to abysmal donor retention rates, and drown in manual administrative tasks—by deploying its proprietary \"Responsive Fundraising\" matrix. Moving far beyond traditional, passive transaction-tracking databases or fragmented email templates, Virtuous natively unifies 360-degree donor relationship pipelines (CRM+), automated multi-channel nurture workflows (marketing via email, SMS, and direct mail), real-time wealth and demographic scoring (Insights), localized giving pages (Raise), and volunteer coordination systems into a high-availability cloud workspace. Anchoring its market dominance on automated operational leverage, the platform drives an average 15% increase in donor retention and a 38% lift in annual giving revenue for prominent organizations nationwide. Under the hood, its technology core utilizes advanced machine-learning-driven prediction engines to spot high-value prospects, automated AI-drafted email communication components synced natively within individual contact records, robust open-ended developer APIs, and rigid SOC 2 data security layers designed to manage billions in processing volume with absolute accuracy and trust. What sets Virtuous apart is its uncompromising dedication to replacing cold, transaction-first mass-blasts with personal, highly responsive donor experiences at infinite scale; by bridging the gap between performance-intensive relational behavioral intelligence and immediate frontline nonprofit execution, the enterprise remains the definitive cornerstone of modern algorithmic EdTech-adjacent giving systems and global digital philanthropy transformation.
