Multi-day travel businesses (e.g., safaris, scuba diving trips) collectively sell over $300B in travel annually. 10,000 businesses, generating $3B in travel sales, rely on WeTravel as their end-to-end operating system for sales, payments, and back-office management. WeTravel is the eCommerce stack for these operators, with checkout at its core.

WeTravel has 400+ team members from 88 countries, with offices in Amsterdam, Chicago, Sydney, and Baku. The company is financially secure and experiencing 60–100% year-over-year growth.

Product Marketing at WeTravel

Our clients love our innovative product. We launch at least 5 meaningful features every month across diverse domains, including:

  • A Custom Website Builder to optimize traffic
  • CRM AI features to convert traffic into bookings
  • Quoting features for easier trip pricing
  • An AI and content library to enhance trip pages
  • Checkout improvements for global payments
  • AI features for automated Supplier Management

We prioritize client needs and build features to help multi-day travel companies run more of their business on WeTravel. However, a feature that ships but isn’t discovered or understood doesn’t drive value. Our Product Marketing function ensures everything we ship is discovered, understood, and used. We measure success by adoption rates—the share of active clients using each of our 12 product themes, and the number of products each client adopts.

This Role

We’re expanding our Product Marketing function by hiring a second marketer. This role will focus on taking each feature to market, ensuring its story is told and clients understand and use it. You’ll own the feature marketing plan and execution end-to-end, collaborating with product managers, marketing channels, account managers, and support teams.

Key responsibilities (~75% of time):

  • Own the launch plan for each feature and align with commercial teams on communications and activities
  • Drive the channel plan for each launch with the commercial marketing team (website, social, paid, lifecycle channels)
  • Craft and set up communications (emails, in-product messages, Loom-style demo videos)
  • Update onboarding materials (product tours, emails, Onboarding Center) to reflect new launches
  • Run our monthly product newsletter
  • Partner on product content for major events (e.g., annual spring release, Travel Innovation Summit, Operator Innovation Day)

Adoption of existing features (~25% of time):

  • Monitor adoption metrics post-launch, identify stalled features, and determine fixes
  • Host live product webinars (collaborate on the calendar, present sessions, and bring in other presenters)
  • Run ad hoc promo campaigns for underperforming features
  • Localize content into Spanish when needed

An Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a highly organized product marketer with sharp product sense and strong communication skills. If you love travel and tech and thrive in a dynamic, fast-growing environment, this role is for you.

Hard requirements:

  • 7+ years of communication-heavy professional experience, including 3+ years in B2B product marketing at a tech company
  • Writes fluent business English that busy tour operators will understand
  • Excellent storyteller in writing and on camera (visible face of the product to thousands of clients)
  • Proven track record of successful B2B email and in-product campaigns (preferably highly targeted)
  • Uses AI tools to work faster and reliably while maintaining quality
  • Comfortable digging into data and surfacing insights

Nice to have:

  • Fluent in business Spanish with deep knowledge of Latin American travel culture
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Customer.io) and customer engagement platforms
  • Experience with SQL, advanced Excel/Google Sheets, and other analytics tools
  • Video and audio editing skills for communicating with our audience

Not a good fit for:

  • Someone who prefers to stay behind the brand (this role involves frequent webinars and videos)
  • Someone who wants to set strategy and hand off production (this role writes, records, and ships work)
  • Someone who wants a to-do list (you’ll own priorities with clear outcomes and minimal direction)

Interview Process

Application:

  • Submit a 3–5 minute video intro (Loom format) explaining a product or feature on camera

First Round:

  • Recruiter screen (30 minutes): Background and motivation discussion

Second Round:

  • Manager interview (45 minutes): Experience, launch management, lessons learned, and collaboration discussion
  • Take-home assignment (2 hours): Create a launch plan and sample assets for a WeTravel feature (demo environment provided)

Final Round:

  • Cross-functional interview (30 minutes) with Commercial Marketing Manager and Head of Account Management & Enablement
  • Company leadership interview (30 minutes) with CPO: Mission, business ambition, and culture discussion

Benefits

  • Full-time - Fixed Term Contract (as International Contractor)
  • Unlimited paid time off
  • Amsterdam Program: Visit HQ for 2–4 weeks annually in a WeTravel apartment
  • Work From Anywhere: Up to 4 weeks per year in an approved location
  • Extensive paid family leave
  • Three paid volunteer days per year
  • 2-week cross-functional onboarding program
  • Cutting-edge equipment and tools
  • Join an international, travel-loving team with a passion for innovation

Note: This role is for candidates with the legal right to work in a LATAM country (citizenship or residency). No visa sponsorship or relocation assistance is available.

WeTravel is a powerful, all-in-one operating system and FinTech platform purpose-built for multi-day travel businesses, group trip organizers, and wellness retreats. Founded in 2014 by Johannes Koeppel, Zaky Prabowo, and Garib Mehdiyev in San Francisco, the company was created to eliminate the friction of organizing complex international group travel. Under the hood, WeTravel replaces disjointed spreadsheets, legacy CRM software, and expensive traditional payment processors with a centralized hub. The platform empowers travel businesses to build highly visual, mobile-friendly itineraries in minutes, automate installment payment plans, securely collect e-signatures, and manage real-time traveler manifests. Furthermore, their proprietary "WeTravel Network" allows operators to seamlessly pay local vendors and global partners in multiple currencies without absorbing massive foreign exchange fees. Their primary target audience spans independent adventure travel companies, student trip organizers, and bespoke travel agencies who need a streamlined, end-to-end booking infrastructure. What sets WeTravel apart in the massive travel technology space is its unique blend of robust FinTech payment routing with highly specialized travel management tools, enabling over 8,000 operators worldwide to dramatically increase their conversion rates and focus entirely on delivering transformative travel experiences.
