Want to know if you're a match for this job?
Waymark is a mission-driven team of healthcare providers, technologists, and builders working to transform care for people with Medicaid benefits. They partner with communities to deliver technology-enabled, human-centered support that helps patients stay healthy and thrive.
Your primary product to manage will be Lighthouse, the platform our care teams use every day to find, reach, and care for Medicaid members. Today Lighthouse records care after it happens. Over the next eighteen months, you will help it become a place where care is delivered: a member texts a symptom, agentic models draft a structured history and assessment, a licensed clinician reviews the treatment plan and approves pended orders, and Lighthouse executes the resulting prescription, laboratory order, or referral—then documents the encounter, submits the claim, and updates the health information exchange.
Alongside this build, you’ll keep shipping the improvements care teams depend on right now—panel management nudges, clinical history context, task and goal automation from outreach and preventative care campaigns, and the steady stream of feature work that keeps a growing patient-facing care team maximally effective.
You will need to develop specifications for this large surface area. You will spend real time with operations leaders directing the care team; decide how their needs will translate into building; and write the specifications, acceptance criteria, and measurement plans that let a growing engineering team move quickly without guessing. You’ll collaborate closely with a cross-functional team spanning product design, engineering, and data science. You’ll partner with design on user research, shaping user flows, and reviewing prototypes; with engineering on technical feasibility, implementation, and QA; and with data scientists to turn powerful predictive models into useful, actionable experiences for care team members.
Waymark is a small, fast-moving team, so you should expect to be a self-starter and get hands-on rather than wait for a fully-formed brief.
You will report to the VP of Product and work as part of a small Product and Design organization and larger Clinical Product Development department. In eighteen months, success looks like this: Lighthouse supports safe clinical triage with human-in-the-loop approvals, our predictive models reach care teams as pre-drafted work rather than notifications, and our engineers ship against a backlog they trust.
Responsibilities
- Own the Lighthouse product backlog end to end—problem framing, written specifications, acceptance criteria, sequencing, QA, and release readiness—spanning both new clinical/agentic capabilities and the ongoing feature enhancements care teams rely on day to day.
- Partner daily with the Lighthouse engineering and design pod—run project kickoffs, scope refinement, sprint planning, and delivery plan; keep a refined backlog at least two sprints deep; hold the definition of ready and definition of done.
- Partner with cross-product PMs to specify how predictive model outputs and drafted agentic actions surface inside Lighthouse—which decision each score informs, how work is ordered and rate-limited, and where a human reviews and confirms before any action is taken.
- Maintain a continuous discovery practice: a weekly cadence of structured contact with product, design, engineering, and operations team members, an opportunity map for Lighthouse, and prioritized, testable bets rather than a feature request queue.
- Define and instrument outcome metrics before each launch, weighted toward completed clinical actions and reduced care-team workload rather than volume of suggestions produced, and run the post-launch read-out.
- Coordinate clinical safety review, compliance, and partner readiness across Compliance, Security, and Legal teams for each major feature release.
Minimum Qualifications
- Two or more years in a product management role shipping software used by non-technical operational or clinical staff, with at least one product you owned from discovery through launch and outcomes measurement.
- Strong written communication. Your specifications, acceptance criteria, and decision documents are clear enough that engineers and designers design, build, and validate the right thing without a meeting.
- Practical fluency with agile delivery—refinement, estimation, sprint cadence, flow, and cycle-time metrics—and the judgment to know which ceremonies are earning their cost.
- Comfort with quantitative evaluation: you define success metrics before launch, read an instrumented result honestly, and change course when the data says so.
- A humble learner who seeks out the perspectives of care team members and welcomes challenges to your own conclusions, and who thrives in a fast-paced environment where scope is set rather than received.
- An excellent cross-functional collaborator—you build trusted working relationships with product design, engineering, and data science, and move comfortably between writing a spec, reviewing a Figma file, and triaging a bug.
- Operate with a self-starter, scrappy mentality—pick up ambiguous problems and move work forward without waiting for a heavy process or a fully-staffed team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as the first or only product manager on a product surface, establishing the practice rather than inheriting it.
- Experience shipping products built on machine learning or LLM-based systems, including human-in-the-loop review patterns and their evaluation.
- Experience working with Medicaid populations, community health workers, or safety-net care delivery.
- Experience in healthcare delivery, digital health, or health-tech—particularly with electronic health records, clinical ordering, e-prescribing, laboratory integrations, claims (837P), or health information exchange.
- Experience using AI tools to make data-informed decisions, analyze complex datasets, and understand code well enough to investigate and triage bugs effectively.

Waymark
View Company ProfileWaymark (operating under waymarkcare.com, legally Waymark Care, Inc.) is the premier, enterprise-grade technology-enabled Medicaid care management platform, public benefit corporation, and value-based healthcare orchestration powerhouse engineered to act as the definitive, high-velocity community-based intervention, rising-risk stratification, and social determinants of health (SDOH) enablement layer for managed care organizations (MCOs), health plans, and primary care providers. Founded by prominent healthcare technology entrepreneurs and physicians Dr. Rajaie Batniji, Dr. Sanjay Basu, and Afia Asamoah, the platform completely eliminates the severe systemic friction of modern safety-net healthcare delivery—where Medicaid beneficiaries lose critical health momentum, experience fragmented treatment paths, and fall into preventable acute crises because legacy healthcare systems are reactive, inaccessible, and disconnected from non-clinical social needs like food insecurity, unstable housing, and lack of transportation—by deploying a sophisticated, evidence-based care delivery engine. Moving far beyond traditional, passive telehealth applications, corporate case management lines, or standard clinical EHR frameworks, Waymark natively unifies a proprietary machine learning-driven risk analytics platform (Waymark Signal) that preemptively identifies rising-risk enrollees, multi-disciplinary localized mobile squads (including community health workers, licensed behavioral therapists, clinical pharmacists, and care coordinators), automated administrative paperwork and prior-authorization pipelines, and extensive community-resource routing networks into a single high-availability population health workspace. Proving its category-defining impact in peer-reviewed clinical research published across major digital medicine journals, the platform's integrated AI-guided interventions have successfully driven a 22.9% reduction in all-cause acute care events across major statewide cohorts. Backed by over $45 million in elite institutional venture capital—anchored by a foundational funding matrix from New Enterprise Associates (NEA) alongside top-tier healthcare and technology investors—the organization scales its specialized community footprint across major markets including Ohio, Virginia, and Washington. Under the hood, its technology core utilizes sophisticated offline reinforcement learning algorithms, advanced graphical structure learning mechanisms built to target heterogeneous treatment effects, and zero-data-loss security layers designed to streamline administrative intake from 38 minutes to 25 minutes without decreasing patient-facing field velocity. What sets Waymark apart is its uncompromising dedication to replacing fragmented, reactive safety-net programs with absolute clinical predictability, scalable value-based risk sharing, and proactive intervention velocity; by bridging the gap between performance-intensive structural data analytics and the daily, real-world human needs of low-income populations, the enterprise remains the definitive cornerstone of modern algorithmic population health management and global Medicaid care transformation.
