Presales Solution Architect – Mendix & AI Solutions

About the Role

We are growing our Mendix & AI Presales team in the United States and are looking for a passionate, customer-focused Presales Solution Architect to help organizations accelerate digital transformation through Mendix low-code development, Generative AI, and Intelligence Center X (ICX).

In this role, you will partner with prospects, customers, sales teams, and partners to demonstrate how Mendix, ICX, AI, and enterprise data can be combined to rapidly deliver innovative business solutions. You will lead technical discovery discussions, architect solutions, build proof-of-concepts, and act as a trusted advisor throughout the customer journey.

Over time, you will expand your expertise across the broader ICX portfolio, including Graph, and learn to position and demonstrate how these technologies work together to solve customer challenges.

What You'll Do

Solution Architecture & Customer Engagement

Lead technical discovery sessions to uncover customer business and technical challenges, understand the underlying causes and impact, clarify desired outcomes, and identify the right opportunities for Mendix, ICX, AI, and enterprise data solutions.

Partner with sales teams to qualify opportunities, identify technical risks and decision criteria, and develop a clear technical strategy for advancing the opportunity.

Proactively shape the technical evaluation by recommending the right demonstration, workshop, architecture exercise, or proof-of-concept based on the opportunity, rather than simply responding to a predefined customer request.

Design solution architectures leveraging Mendix, ICX, AI services, and enterprise systems.

Conduct technical workshops, architecture sessions, and executive briefings.

Address technical questions, concerns, and competitive objections with clear, credible recommendations tailored to business and technical stakeholders.

Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the evaluation and buying process, while supporting a smooth transition into implementation and adoption.

Demonstrations & Proof of Concepts

Deliver compelling business and technical demonstrations tailored to customer use cases.

Develop reusable industry and solution demonstrations that can be rapidly tailored for strategic customer opportunities.

Design and develop proof-of-concepts and prototype applications using Mendix.

Connect demonstrations, architectures, and proof-of-concepts to the customer’s business priorities, measurable outcomes, and agreed technical success criteria.

Demonstrate integration with enterprise applications, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and AI services.

Showcase best practices for application governance, scalability, security, and lifecycle management.

AI & Intelligence Center X (ICX) Solutioning

Position and demonstrate Intelligence Center X (ICX) and its broader capabilities, including Graph, as part of Siemens' AI and digital transformation strategy.

Develop the ability to demonstrate how Mendix, Graph, AI, and enterprise data capabilities can work together as part of an end-to-end customer solution.

Help customers understand how to leverage enterprise data, AI, and intelligent automation to improve business outcomes.

Design and demonstrate AI-powered business applications using Mendix, ICX, Generative AI, and agentic development patterns, including agents that reason, take action, interact with enterprise systems, and incorporate human oversight.

Develop customer-specific demonstrations showcasing intelligent workflows, copilots, assistants, predictive insights, and automation scenarios.

Educate customers on AI architecture patterns including agentic AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), knowledge graphs, and enterprise AI governance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Mendix application development, architecture, or consulting.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI technologies, including LLMs, AI agents, agentic workflows, RAG architectures, vector databases, and enterprise AI platforms.
• Experience integrating AI services with enterprise applications and business processes.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Experience presenting technical solutions to both business and executive audiences.

Bonus Points If You

• Are already a certified Mendix Developer, Advanced Developer or Expert.
• Have built applications using Mendix in a customer-facing or enterprise environment.
• Have developed AI-powered applications, copilots, intelligent assistants, or agentic workflows.
• Have exposure to structured sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or Challenger and understand how presales contributes to opportunity qualification, customer insight, and technical strategy.
• Enjoy building demos and proof-of-concepts that connect business value to innovative technology.
