This is a specialized People Operations Coordinator role focused on benefits administration and leave management. You'll be the trusted point of contact for employees regarding benefits, the expert guiding them through leaves, and the owner of new-hire benefits orientation. The role involves building learning materials, managing global benefits across US, UK, Canada, and EOR markets, and ensuring accurate, compliant data in the HRIS.
The Role
Own end-to-end benefits administration for health, dental, vision, life, and voluntary plans across US, UK, Canada, and EOR markets, from new-hire enrollment through terminations. Ensure accurate, timely data in the HRIS.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions, resolving issues, guiding employees through plan options, and managing relationships with benefits providers for accurate billing, contract compliance, and quality service.
Manage leave for US and global employees, including leave management systems, statutory, state, and FMLA leave, as well as short- and long-term disability. Be the trusted expert guiding employees through leave processes.
Lead the annual open enrollment process and create engaging education materials and presentations to drive higher benefits utilization across the company.
Partner with Finance and payroll to scale proper use of the HRIS, run regular audits of benefits data for accuracy and compliance, and maintain accurate leave and enrollment data across US and international payroll.
Support the People Operations team in projects related to employee engagement, retention, and development initiatives, ensuring benefits are integrated into overall people strategies.
What I'm Looking For
What You Must Bring
Hands-on experience administering multiple benefit plans, with US benefits experience as the foundation and global exposure.
Direct experience handling state-level parental leave, FMLA, or PFL paperwork, since supporting employees through leave is a core part of this role.
Experience working within an HRIS, with Rippling preferred.
A genuine people person: approachable, confident in front of employees, and mature and empathetic enough to handle sensitive leave conversations with care.
Even Better If
You've worked across multiple countries (statutory leave knowledge across UK, AUS, and CA) and benefit structures.
You've managed benefits through acquisitions, including COBRA scenarios.
You bring EOR experience or specific experience with Quebec benefits.
Why This Role
You'll have real room to shape how employees experience their total rewards, improve how our plans work across markets, and grow into a true subject-matter expert as the company scales globally. It's a rare chance to make a function your own and see the direct impact of what you build.
