Redhorse Corporation is a solution-driven company delivering data insights and technology solutions to customers with missions critical to U.S. national interests. They are seeking a Junior Solutions Architect to support the technical design, development, and delivery of IT and cloud solutions.

In this role, you will collaborate with lead architects, system engineers, and cross-functional teams to translate mission and user requirements into secure, scalable, and resilient technical architectures. This position supports federal and Department of Defense (DoD) engagements, offering an opportunity to contribute directly to modernizing critical public-sector systems using cloud-native and DevSecOps principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Design & Architecture: Assist in the design and modeling of end-to-end architectures, system integration diagrams, and technical specifications for federal IT programs.
  • Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with technical leads and stakeholders to decompose functional, operational, and mission requirements into structured solution designs and technical user stories.
  • Artifact Development: Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system-of-systems diagrams, interface control documents, and architectural blueprints for government review.
  • System Integration: Support the integration of multi-tier software applications, cloud hosting infrastructure, data engineering pipelines, and emerging AI/ML workflows.
  • Engineering Collaboration: Partner with software development, infrastructure, and test teams to provide architectural guidance, troubleshoot technical challenges, and ensure compliance with design standards.
  • Security & Compliance Alignment: Incorporate federal security baselines into architectural designs, supporting compliance with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), FedRAMP, and DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (IL2–IL6).
  • Process Enablement: Apply cloud-native design patterns, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and Agile development methodologies to support continuous delivery.

Required Skills

  • Security Clearance & Eligibility: Active DoD Secret security clearance and U.S. Citizenship (mandated by federal contract requirements).
  • Professional Experience: 4+ years of professional technical experience in software engineering, systems engineering, cloud engineering, or solutions architecture.
  • Cloud Platforms: Demonstrated experience designing, configuring, or deploying solutions within cloud computing environments (AWS preferred).
  • Application Architecture: Working knowledge of microservices architectures, full-stack design patterns, and API integration standards (REST, GraphQL).
  • Infrastructure Automation & Containers: Practical experience using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • DevSecOps & CI/CD: Hands-on experience with automated CI/CD pipelines, version control workflows, and integrated security scanning practices.
  • Communication & Documentation: Demonstrated ability to create clear technical documentation and communicate complex technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desired Skills

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (or equivalent industry certification from Azure or GCP).
  • Prior experience delivering technical solutions within federal government or DoD contract environments.
  • Experience utilizing collaboration and data platforms such as GitLab, Jira, Databricks.
  • Exposure to modern data architectures (e.g., data lakes, distributed data processing, ETL/ELT pipelines, Apache Spark).
  • Familiarity with AI/ML integration concepts (e.g., retrieval-augmented generation [RAG], LLM APIs, MLOps workflows).
  • Experience operating within Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).

Redhorse Corporation (operating under redhorsecorp.com, legally Redhorse Corporation) is the premier, enterprise-grade digital transformation, national security technology services, and tactical data engineering pioneer engineered to act as the definitive, high-velocity cloud systems modernization, military artificial intelligence integration, and critical infrastructure resilience layer for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), federal civilian agencies, intelligence communities, and global defense innovators. Founded in 2008 by visionary founder and USMC (Ret.) Col. David Inman—who named the firm in honor of the resilient U.S. Air Force REDHORSE engineering squadrons—the enterprise completely eliminates the severe systemic friction of modern government digital transformation, where federal agencies battle massive data fragmentation, legacy system bloat, and highly delayed intelligence analysis pipelines, by deploying agile, high-performance analytical frameworks. Moving far beyond traditional, slow-moving federal advisory firms or generic IT staff-augmentation agencies, Redhorse natively unifies multi-source data fusion, scalable predictive intelligence, cloud-agnostic platform development, and advanced cybersecurity operations into a single high-availability national security software and consulting ecosystem. Directed by Chief Executive Officer Noah Klemm, the company delivers mission-critical execution across high-stakes domains, securing major institutional positions including the elite Department of Defense Joint Artificial Intelligence Center (JAIC) and the massive AI Talent 2.0 Basic Ordering Agreement. Highlighting its category-defining market momentum, the high-growth government-tech powerhouse secured a transformative growth capital investment from defense sector specialist Blue Delta Capital Partners, accelerating its capabilities through the strategic acquisitions of Allied Associates International (A2I) and The Mannakee Group, alongside the launch of Redhorse International Ltd in the United Kingdom. Under the hood, its technology core utilizes advanced machine-learning pipelines, high-fidelity GIS and environmental telemetry modeling, and secure, military-grade data routing systems designed to automate real-time battlefield readiness, predictive asset maintenance, and critical utility sustainability with absolute national security clearance and operational compliance. What sets Redhorse Corporation apart is its uncompromising dedication to replacing fragmented, legacy government IT infrastructure with absolute data predictability, mission-critical execution agility, and field-ready analytical insight; by bridging the gap between performance-intensive relational software engineering and the immediate, multi-domain defense priorities of the nation, the enterprise remains the definitive cornerstone of modern algorithmic GovTech and global national security transformation.
