The Junior Social Media & Content Manager will support the planning, creation, and scheduling of engaging content across Soft Gallery’s social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and beyond.
This role focuses on building Soft Gallery’s online presence and brand voice from the ground up, growing alongside the project rather than maintaining an existing account. The ideal candidate brings creative thinking and digital intuition to every post, understanding what resonates online and what audiences want to watch, save, or share.
The goal is to develop into a professional Social Media Manager over time, eventually taking full ownership of Soft Gallery’s social media strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, edit, and publish engaging content (posts, reels, short-form video, captions) across Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms.
- Plan and execute the social media content calendar, adapting to current trends and formats.
- Monitor engagement, comments, and direct messages, fostering an active and responsive community.
- Research artists, exhibitions, and cultural events to inform content and support newsletter content.
- Track and report on key social media metrics such as reach, engagement, followers, and growth.
- Stay updated with social media trends and tools, including AI content tools, Canva, and video-editing platforms, recommending new approaches where relevant.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Fluent written and spoken English, with a strong eye for tone, grammar, and brand voice.
- A genuine, native-level familiarity with Instagram and TikTok as a user—following trends and discovering new formats.
- Strong visual eye and sense of aesthetics, with creative thinking and digital intuition.
- Open to candidates with limited professional experience but strong content creation skills and social media instincts—freshers with a strong portfolio are welcome.
- Proactive mindset, bringing ideas rather than waiting for instructions; organized, reliable, and able to work independently.
- Comfortable learning new tools, including AI content tools, Canva, and video-editing platforms.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Interest in contemporary art, fashion, design, or culture—or excitement to learn about the art world.
- Experience using social media scheduling or analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
- Basic photography, videography, or graphic design skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Benefits
- Structured training in social media strategy, Instagram, storytelling, community building, and analytics.
- Introduction to the contemporary art world—learning to research artists, exhibitions, and cultural events.
- Opportunity to build a brand from its early stages, with a path to full ownership of the role.
- Annual leave.
- Reward and recognition programs.
- Provident Fund (PF).
- Employee engagement initiatives.
- Remote working options.
