Your mission
Mimica is growing rapidly, and weâre expanding our IT Operations capability to ensure our global team has a secure, seamless, and scalable technology experience as we scale.
As our second IT Ops Engineer, youâll have the opportunity to shape how IT works at Mimica, not simply maintain it. Youâll improve the systems and processes that keep teams productive, connected, and secure, while providing support to colleagues worldwide.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys combining operational excellence with problem-solving and continuous improvement. Youâll work closely with Platform, Security, and Delivery teams, helping build the foundations that allow Mimica to grow confidently and enable every employee to do their best work.
Part of your day-to-day
- Administer and optimize core IT and collaboration tools including JumpCloud, GSuite, Slack, Notion and Remote, ensuring secure and seamless access for globally distributed teams.
- Manage company-issued laptops and other devices, maintaining OS configuration and compliance with IT and InfoSec policies.
- Lead and continuously improve onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring timely provisioning and deprovisioning of access and IT assets across cloud and SaaS environments.
- Own identity and access management (IAM), role-based access control (RBAC), and conduct periodic access reviews to meet evolving security requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day IT issuesâincluding access permissions and cloud networking operations (e.g., VPCs, firewalls, routing rules, IAM configurations)âwith a focus on minimizing downtime for business-critical teams.
- Participate in platform and tooling rollouts, contributing to implementation, testing, and support of new IT systems and policies.
- Develop and maintain clear internal documentation of IT processes, troubleshooting guides, and onboarding materials to scale knowledge sharing and reduce dependency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Platform, Security, and Delivery teams to identify and execute automation opportunities (e.g. via Terraform or similar IaC tools).
- Approach support and project work with a service-oriented mindset, taking initiative to streamline workflows and preempt recurring issues.
What you will bring
- Experience supporting and configuring cloud-based IT environments, especially SaaS tools and Google Workspace.
- Hands-on experience with access management and IAM configurations across cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
- Understanding of basic to intermediate network operationsâespecially in the context of cloud networking (e.g., GCP VPCs, IAM roles, routing rules).
- Clear, concise communicatorâcomfortable collaborating across global teams and explaining technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
- Service-oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize and resolve requests that impact business-critical teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a methodical, self-directed troubleshooting approach.
Bonus
- Deep expertise with Windows or Mac OS.
- Experience with IaC solutions - Terraform, CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with endpoint security and basic InfoSec hygiene in a cloud-native environment.
Location & Remote
- This is a fully remote position. To ensure effective collaboration with our team, we are only considering candidates in the following regions:
- Anywhere in North, Central, or South America (e.g., the US, Canada, Brazil, or Argentina).
- Note: We prefer Eastern Time, Central Time, or UTCâ3 to maximize overlap with the wider team.

Mimica
View Company ProfileMimica is an innovative enterprise AI company that specializes in automated process discovery and task mining. Founded in 2017, the company provides a crucial foundational layer for robotic process automation (RPA) initiatives. Under the hood, Mimicaâs intelligent software runs passively on employee desktops, utilizing advanced machine learning and computer vision to silently observe, record, and analyze complex manual workflows across various applications. It then automatically generates highly detailed, step-by-step process maps and RPA blueprints (such as PDDs - Process Design Documents). Their primary target audience includes enterprise automation leaders, Centers of Excellence (CoEs), and business analysts who need to identify automation opportunities and accurately calculate ROI before investing in expensive bot development. What sets Mimica apart in the process intelligence market is its ability to eliminate the notoriously slow, biased, and manual interview processes traditionally used to document workflows, replacing them with objective, data-driven insights that dramatically accelerate digital transformation timelines.
