About The Position:

As a Human Resources Specialist, you will act as a key business partner to our clients and the professionals we engage on their behalf, sitting at the intersection of global expansion and workforce management. You will serve as an in-country expert driving regional service improvements, supporting clients expanding into Brazil, and offering operational guidance across other Latin American countries.

In this role, you will be responsible for owning the full employee lifecycle, delivering best-in-class HR support, managing local vendors (accountants, benefits brokers, HR advisors), and navigating complex labor regulations. You will also play a critical role in optimizing internal processes, adopting AI tools, and driving seamless, compliant operations across the LATAM region.

What You’ll Do:

Regional & In-Country Expertise (Brazil & LATAM)

  • Serve as a regional subject matter expert for all employee lifecycle events and human resources functions in Brazil, with broader exposure and support across other LATAM markets.
  • Advise potential new customers and existing clients expanding into Brazil and the LATAM region on local market norms, benefits, payroll, and labor compliance.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with local partners in Brazil and LATAM, including payroll providers, benefits brokers, accountants, and external HR/legal advisors.
  • Maintain and continuously update country-specific knowledge bases and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure regional compliance.
  • Handle ongoing matters with existing clients by pulling in appropriate members of the team to resolve client queries.
  • Work independently and autonomously, receiving minimal guidance.
  • Manage customer and professional data by meticulously maintaining records in our online portal and vendor platforms, adhering to data management best practices.
  • Lead end-to-end compliance projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams, while also leveraging subject matter expertise and best practices to proactively drive local and global initiatives that enhance our products and services.

Employee Lifecycle & Complex HR Operations

  • Provide primary HR support across all employee lifecycle stages, including onboarding, mid-cycle transitions/activities, and offboardings.
  • Strategically handle sensitive employee relations, complex terminations, and involuntary offboardings in accordance with local labor laws to minimize legal risk.
  • Meticulously maintain client and professional data in online portals and vendor platforms adhering to data privacy best practices.

Organizational Impact & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive digital transformation by integrating product features and AI-related tools to automate routine daily tasks, optimize HR workflows, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Solve complex HR challenges independently by applying analytical thinking and bringing fresh perspectives to process improvements.
  • Lead and support local and global compliance initiatives to enhance regional product offerings and service delivery.

What We're Looking For:

  • A resourceful, adaptable self-starter who excels at navigating unknown territory, "figuring things out," and solving complex challenges in full compliance with local regulations.
  • A strong communicator with high emotional intelligence who can negotiate balanced solutions between customers, professionals, local vendors, and internal/external stakeholders.
  • A champion of change who embraces new technology, process optimizations, and AI tools to increase daily productivity.
  • A collaborative team player with high reliability, meticulous organizational skills, and a strong customer-service mindset.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or higher in Human Resources, International Business, Accounting, Law, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of Human Resources experience, ideally as an HR Specialist, HR Generalist, or HR Business Partner.
  • In-Country Expertise: Deep, practical working knowledge of Brazilian labor laws, HR practices, and employment regulations.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required. Native/Fluent Portuguese. Fluency in Spanish is an asset.
  • Environment: Proven history of multi-tasking, prioritizing, and self-regulating effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed, and remote environment.
  • International Mindset: Experience interacting with global clients and colleagues, showing dynamic sensitivity to diverse cultural norms and communication styles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Regional HR exposure across other Latin American (LATAM) countries (e.g., Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Argentina) and a strong willingness to learn new markets.
  • Advanced tech-savviness, with hands-on experience using modern HRIS systems, ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Jira), collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom, SharePoint), and AI productivity tools.
  • Openness to personal growth, continuous learning, and potential future internal international mobility opportunities.
