Graphic Designer (Logo & Visual Identity) – Freelance for Tendem Project

Mindrift is seeking a versatile, highly skilled **Graphic Designer** with expertise in logo design and visual identity to contribute to the Tendem project. This role involves creating high-quality visual assets for real-world use cases, applying expertise in logo design, branding, visual communication, typography, and layout to deliver polished creative solutions.

This is a **part-time remote** opportunity tailored for creative professionals with hands-on experience in visual communications, layout design, and diverse marketing materials.

About the Role

As a **Graphic Designer** in this freelance role, you’ll handle a variety of visual design tasks, with a focus on logo design, brand identity, and visual concept development. Responsibilities include creating layouts, infographics, social media templates, one-pagers, and other marketing and communication assets. The ideal candidate can translate ideas and brand concepts into clear, distinctive visual solutions while maintaining consistency and craft across formats.

Key Responsibilities

• Design distinctive, professional logos and visual identity concepts based on brand requirements and creative briefs.
• Develop multiple logo directions using strong conceptual thinking to translate brand ideas into effective visual symbols and systems.
• Apply branding principles across assets to ensure a consistent and recognizable visual identity.
• Create clean layouts, modern infographics, and clear visual hierarchies for readable and engaging content.
• Design reusable templates for social media channels, marketing materials, and impactful one-pagers.
• Elevate everyday materials through advanced typography, grid systems, and thoughtful composition.
• Transform raw data and concepts into polished visual assets tailored to marketing and communication goals.
• Enforce design quality standards by verifying visual alignment, color usage, and layout consistency prior to delivery.

Important Note: Your CV must include a link to your portfolio showcasing relevant graphic design work, particularly logo design and visual identity projects. Applications without a portfolio link will not be considered.

This is project-based freelance work with tasks available only during active phases. You may be invited to one or more projects based on your profile and opportunities.

Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in graphic design, digital design, or visual communications is desirable.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related fields is a plus.

Academic and/or Professional Experience:

Candidates must demonstrate a strong portfolio with professional graphic design work, including logo design, branding, or visual identity development. Portfolios showcasing social media graphics, marketing collateral, infographics, and one-pagers are highly valued. Versatility in typography, visual composition, color, and grid systems is essential, along with an adaptable, detail-oriented approach and the ability to work independently.

Technical Skills (Essential):

• Logo & Identity Design: Proven ability to develop original logo concepts and visual identities.
• Branding: Strong understanding of brand identity principles, including typography, color, and consistency.
• Concept Development: Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate abstract ideas into distinctive visual concepts.
• Layout & Typography: Exceptional grasp of typography, grid systems, and visual composition.
• Visual Asset Creation: Proven ability to structure information through modern infographics and social media templates.
• Design Tools: Deep proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Figma.
• Format Versatility: Ability to switch between designing one-pagers and digital templates, adapting to medium constraints.

Project Time Expectations

Tasks are estimated to require around 10–20 hours per week during active phases, based on project requirements. This is an estimate and applies only while the project is active.

Compensation

Contributors can earn up to $50 per hour on this project, depending on their level and pace of contribution. Compensation varies across projects based on scope, complexity, and expertise.
