What you will get to do:

Customer Discovery & Solution Design

  • Lead discovery with prospects and customers to understand business priorities, service requirements, current and future operating models, technology environments, data, constraints, and desired outcomes.
  • Translate complex service supply chain requirements into end-to-end solution designs spanning inventory positioning, warehousing, fulfillment, transportation, returns, service levels, technology, data, integrations, and other applicable capabilities.
  • Analyze customer operational, inventory, order, SLA, geographic, and cost data to identify patterns, validate assumptions, quantify requirements, and evaluate solution alternatives.
  • Design scalable solutions that maximize the use of the company's standard service, operational, and technology capabilities; challenge unnecessary customization and clearly identify the business rationale, tradeoffs, and implications of non-standard requirements.

Commercial & Technical Validation

  • Develop the analytical and operational rationale for proposed solutions, clearly articulating customer outcomes, service improvements, economic value, assumptions, risks, and tradeoffs.
  • Partner with Pricing and Operations to validate solution economics, operating assumptions, resource requirements, network design, and implementation feasibility.
  • Provide solution expertise throughout strategic sales pursuits, including customer presentations, workshops, demonstrations, RFP/RFQ responses, and executive discussions.
  • Own the solution strategy and technical content for RFP/RFQ responses, including requirements interpretation, solution design, network assumptions, dependencies, and response quality.

Solution Definition & Deal-to-Delivery

  • Lead development of Statements of Work in partnership with Sales, Operations, Implementation, Pricing, and other stakeholders, ensuring the contracted scope accurately reflects the approved solution.
  • Clearly define implementation requirements, dependencies, timelines, data needs, technology requirements, and change-management considerations before handoff.
  • Own solution design integrity from discovery through implementation handoff, remaining engaged during implementation to resolve design questions, evaluate material scope changes, and ensure the implemented solution remains consistent with approved design assumptions.
  • Facilitate effective knowledge transfer among Sales, customers, Implementation, Operations, Technology, and other stakeholders to reduce execution risk and establish clear ownership.

Capability, Technology & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain expert knowledge of the company's service portfolio, global operating capabilities, processes, network, and supporting technology.
  • Maintain sufficient technical fluency to understand how customer systems, data, integrations, analytics, automation, and emerging technologies affect solution design and execution.
  • Use modern analytical, automation, and AI-enabled tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize complex information, evaluate alternatives, improve solution quality, and increase effectiveness, while applying appropriate judgment and validation to outputs.
  • Identify recurring customer requirements and market needs that may represent opportunities for new or enhanced company services, capabilities, technology, or product offerings, and provide structured feedback to the appropriate teams.
  • Coach Sales and other internal stakeholders on brand capabilities, solution design principles, and the operational and technical considerations that affect customer solutions.

What will make you successful:

  • 8+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, solution design, consulting, pre-sales, or a related discipline, with demonstrated responsibility for complex or strategic customer solutions.
  • Strong understanding of service parts logistics, warehousing and fulfillment, inventory, transportation, reverse logistics, and service-level-driven supply chain operations.
  • Experience designing complex solutions that span multiple geographies, operating entities, service providers, systems, or business functions.
  • Experience working directly with customers in discovery, consulting, solution design, or pre-sales environments.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and presenting complex proposals and recommendations to both operational and executive audiences.
  • Working knowledge of global geography, international logistics, and trade considerations.
  • Experience with technology-enabled logistics solutions, systems integrations, analytics, or software demonstrations is strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as business needs require.
  • Must have the current and continuing right to work in the United States of America without restrictions or expirations.
