Role Overview
LumiMeds is building the next generation of virtual healthcare infrastructure, and we're looking for an AI-First Frontend Engineer who enjoys creating beautiful, fast, and reliable user experiences using modern frontend technologies.
You'll work across our consumer storefronts and internal clinical platform, translating product designs into polished interfaces while leveraging AI development tools to increase productivity and code quality.
This role is ideal for someone with solid frontend fundamentals who enjoys learning, takes ownership of their work, and thrives in a fast-moving startup environment. You'll collaborate closely with product, design, backend engineers, and senior frontend engineers to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities
Frontend Development
- Build responsive applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
- Translate Figma designs into clean, reusable, and pixel-accurate components.
- Deliver production-ready features with strong attention to quality and usability.
AI-Augmented Development
- Use AI tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar to accelerate development.
- Leverage LLMs to generate boilerplate, improve code quality, write tests, and speed up iteration.
- Continuously improve your AI-assisted engineering workflow.
UI & Performance
- Build fast, responsive interfaces optimized for Core Web Vitals.
- Improve page performance, bundle size, and loading experience.
- Ensure consistent experiences across browsers and devices.
State & Data Management
- Build maintainable client-side state using modern React patterns.
- Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and real-time services.
- Create reliable user experiences for complex forms and asynchronous workflows.
Quality & Collaboration
- Write maintainable, testable code.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA.
- Continuously improve frontend architecture and engineering practices.
Security & Compliance
- Follow secure development practices.
- Help build interfaces that meet HIPAA and SOC2 requirements.
- Ensure proper handling of sensitive patient information.
Required Technical Skills
Frontend
- 2–4 years of professional frontend development experience.
- Strong experience with React and Next.js.
- Good understanding of TypeScript.
- Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
UI Development
- Experience with Tailwind CSS.
- Ability to build responsive, accessible interfaces.
- Experience implementing designs from Figma.
State Management
Experience with one or more modern state management libraries, such as:
- TanStack Query
- Zustand
- Redux Toolkit
Performance
Understanding of:
- Core Web Vitals
- Lazy loading
- Image optimization
- Rendering fundamentals
- Basic caching strategies
AI Development Tools
Regular experience using tools such as:
- Cursor
- GitHub Copilot
- Claude
- ChatGPT
You should be comfortable using AI to improve productivity while maintaining high engineering standards.
Bonus Experience
Nice to have:
- Framer Motion
