Financial Systems Engineer

Location: Remote (United States - Eastern time zone, UK, or Ireland).

At DoiT, a global technology company specializing in cloud-driven solutions, you’ll join the Business Systems Engineering team to modernize and own the company’s financial systems—including NetSuite, FloQast, and Ramp—as an engineer, not just an administrator.

Core Responsibilities:

• Own and administer core financial systems, including configuration, business logic, and day-to-day system health for NetSuite, FloQast, and Ramp.
• Identify and automate manual, recurring, or error-prone finance operations (e.g., month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, procure-to-pay) using automation tools and partnering with engineering for complex builds.
• Act as the business-logic and data expert for finance, defining and maintaining system rules and canonical definitions in collaboration with engineering.
• Build cross-system integrations on a central, version-controlled platform rather than one-off scripts, ensuring scalability and observability.
• Serve as the dedicated systems partner to Finance and Accounting, translating needs into system capabilities and owning vendor onboarding, configuration, and administration.
• Leverage modern AI tooling to draft automations and accelerate routine system work.

Key Qualifications:

• 3–6 years of experience administering a financial or ERP system, with hands-on NetSuite administration required, including:
• Configuration, customization, user access, roles, permissions, and workflows.
• Core modules like General Ledger, Advanced Revenue Management, Accounts, and multi-location structures.
• Designing and implementing custom records, fields, and SuiteFlow automations.
• Managing the NetSuite integration ecosystem.
• Deep understanding of core finance processes: month-end close, reconciliation, accounts payable, procure-to-pay, and revenue.
• Proven track record of eliminating repetitive manual work through scripting, saved searches, workflow automation, or low-code/iPaaS tools.
• Sound judgment on where logic belongs (system configuration vs. cross-system integration) and identifying the source of truth for data.
• Comfort with SuiteScript, SQL, general scripting, or API-based automation, and the ability to reason about integrations.
• Strong collaboration skills across finance and engineering teams, with fluent English communication.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience with FloQast and/or Ramp administration.
• Experience working with a central integration platform or event-driven environments.
• Comfort using AI coding and automation tools in daily work.
• Depth in SuiteScript (1.0/2.0), RESTlets, or NetSuite web services.
