Position Overview

We are seeking a highly autonomous, systems-fluent, and analytically rigorous Finance & Accounting Manager/Lead to drive our global financial reporting infrastructure, multi-entity consolidation workflows, and automation programs under a permanent, full-time remote configuration open throughout Canada (Toronto), Croatia, or the United Kingdom. Operating as the premier financial authority within our cross-functional Finance & Legal vertical, you will take full ownership over the corporate accounting cycles of 15 global entities. Shifting completely away from routine non-regulated administrative data transcription loops, predictable checklist tracking, or entry-level ledger data entry, you will operate an active multi-jurisdictional tax mitigation, automated inter-company transfer pricing, and database query analysis laboratory. Partnering directly next to distributed operational directors, transaction specialists, and external tax partners, you will turn high-velocity financial records into structured strategic intelligence. This position requires an execution-focused individual with a strong foundation in corporate finance who handles complex ledgers fluidly natively using Accountant, Financial Analyst, and Spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) primitives, demonstrates quantitative rigour, and builds scalable financial automations independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Multi-Entity Ledger Governance: Take absolute structural ownership over the end-to-end month-end closing process for 15 global entities, driving the full cycle down to an aggressive 3-day operational timeline natively utilizing Accountant primitives.
• Consolidated Reporting Architecture: Prepare, model, and publish individual and consolidated corporate financial intelligence records—encompassing detailed Income Statements, Balance Sheets, Cashflow Statements, and custom management matrices natively deploying Financial Analyst parameters.
• Inter-Company Transaction Control: Compute, adjust, and apply rigorous inter-company transfer pricing logic, making precise journal entries, multi-currency revenue matching, and accrual balances with zero error tolerance.
• Cross-Border Tax Coordination: Execute and monitor comprehensive sales tax and VAT calculation matrices spanning Canada, the USA, and the EU, partnering alongside external tax authorities to steer corporate filings and year-end audits cleanly.
• Workflow Automation & AI Integration: Leverage modern automation tools, complex scripting, and generative artificial intelligence networks to eliminate repetitive manual data entry layers and optimize finance functions for global scale natively leveraging Spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) frameworks.
• Quantitative Query Analysis: Roll up your sleeves to query internal transactional databases, slicing multi-million row datasets to expose margin trends, locate cash opportunities, and substantiate strategic data theories.
• Chaos Mitigation & Risk Triage: Adapt to rapid operational shifts, diagnosing transactional anomalies within complex holding portfolios, and formulating action plans autonomously over tight weekend sprints.
• Strategic System Scalability: Rebuild, structure, and document the core operational playbooks, ledger structures, and compliance interfaces required to integrate future corporate acquisitions seamlessly.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Possess a robust professional background in corporate finance, investment banking advisory, fast-paced digital marketplace accounting, or tech-centric multi-entity portfolio auditing.
• Expert Quantitative Operations Command: Meticulous practical tracking history executing financial entity closures, currency reconciliations, and inter-company balance tracing under tight commercial deadlines.
• Production-grade operational literacy constructing complex financial models, index filters, and multi-tier logical lookups natively inside **advanced Excel or Google Sheets** setups.
• Grounded functional comprehension of multi-jurisdictional tax compliance baselines, encompassing practical familiarity handling corporate sales taxes, multi-state US regulations, or European VAT workflows.
• Outstanding written and verbal presentation communication strengths in English, with an established background explaining abstract fiscal liabilities cleanly to non-financial operational leaders.
• Location & Process Context: Position operates under remote parameters open to authorities residing in **Toronto (Canada), Croatia, or the United Kingdom**, and requires absolute readiness to undertake a 1-day paid in-person working session in Toronto (with travel covered by ICG).
