About the Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with 2β5 years of experience to join our finance team. This role covers full cycle accounting and is a great fit for someone who enjoys owning month-end processes and wants to grow their career with a company that values accuracy, initiative, and clear communication. This role reports directly to the Assistant Controller.
What You'll Do
- Own full cycle accounting responsibilities, from transaction entry through financial statement preparation
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations as part of the monthly close process
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Analyze account variances and research discrepancies
- Assist with audit preparation, including gathering documentation and responding to auditor requests
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Maintain organized, accurate records to support financial reporting and audit trails
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (FP&A, Billing, HR) to support broader business needs
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2β5 years of relevant accounting experience, with exposure to full cycle accounting
- Solid understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting
- Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, and Ramp is a plus
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, variances, and discrepancies
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and work independently as a self-starter in a remote environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
