Executive Assistant

Role Overview

Protege is hiring an Executive Assistant to support multiple executives and create leverage across a fast-moving, cross-functional environment. This role sits close to company leadership and requires exceptional judgment, communication, discretion, and the ability to keep priorities moving when the operating context changes quickly.

The right person has experience in early-stage, hypergrowth, fast-paced, and high-pressure environments. They are equally strong in communicating in person and in writing, can work diplomatically with a wide range of personalities, and manage sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality.

This role is for someone who can support multiple executives without losing context, create clarity across competing priorities, and remain calm and effective when plans shift.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as the primary Executive Assistant to the Chief Scientific Officer and Co-Founder while providing additional support to the Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Head of People based on evolving business needs.

• Own complex, frequently changing calendars across multiple time zones, balancing business priorities, executive preferences, and competing demands.

• Act as a thoughtful gatekeeper by evaluating requests, resolving scheduling conflicts, and protecting time for critical work.

• Coordinate complex domestic and international travel, including flights, accommodations, ground transportation, visas, itineraries, and other travel requirements.

• Anticipate needs, surface competing priorities, and provide increasingly proactive support.

• Provide occasional personal-assistant support for the Chief Scientific Officer and Co-Founder with discretion and confidentiality.

• Partner closely with the EA & Chief of Staff to the CEO to coordinate leadership schedules, meetings, travel, and shared priorities.

• Identify conflicts, dependencies, and decisions that require attention before they become blockers.

• Support cross-functional projects such as People team initiatives and company offsites as opportunities arise.

• Experienced: You have 5+ years of experience supporting multiple senior executives in an early-stage, hypergrowth, or similarly ambiguous environment.

• Organized and Adaptable: You build systems that keep details from falling through the cracks, manage competing priorities, and shift gears quickly as needs change.

• A Trusted Partner and Clear Communicator: You build strong relationships, adapt to different working styles, and communicate with clarity and judgment. You are comfortable tactfully reinforcing commitments and driving follow-through.

• Discreet and Principled: You handle sensitive information with integrity and sound judgment. You know what to escalate, what to resolve independently, and how much context each stakeholder needs.

• AI-First: You use AI tools to improve workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and create operational leverage—not just for prompting and research.
